Blackwater Heritage State Trail

Breakfast was great, clean rooms and on the beach great place to vacation. Only problem was the ice machine didn't work on my floor but everything else was great.

We have stayed at The Island several times. We love the very short walk to the beach, the beautiful landscaping and waterfalls located on the property, and the seating on the deck right near the beach. The pool with the giant waterfall and swim up bar are very nice. We also enjoy that there are two pools. The Island is located by all of our favorite places to eat in this area. You feel like you are at a resort until you enter the rooms. The rooms are very basic and seem like cheap hotel rooms compared to the rest of the property. The bathroom is tiny and we could see outside under the door to our room. The beds are comfortable. Overall, we always enjoy our stay, and we keep coming back, but for the price we wish the rooms were nicer.
