'Clearly a recent building or very well renovated given the paint smell when entering the room (wich was noticeable but gone very quickly when turning on the airconditioning). Very light and modern setting with friendly and helpful staff. Not directly to the beach so you’re located at a more quiet place. 'My husband and I loved our stay at the Carr Mansion! This historical home was charming, clean, and comfortable. Joellyn was a fabulous host; she served delicious breakfast and offered several tips/ recommendations for activities around the island. The location of the home is near to several other historical landmarks/ museums, the Strand, and the Seawall. 'Dirty place, yellow stains on the bed and sheets, hair everywhere including the bed, sink, and shower. The owner was nice enough to let us switch rooms, but no one was able to sleep after that. Spent $150 for one night. Should’ve shopped around a bit more. There’s better hotels for that price imo.'

'The air in the room was on full blast and everything in the room was wet. The floors, counter tops, furniture. Woke up the next morning to cockroaches roaming around. Also had to pay another deposit when we checked in. They said we would get it back when we checked out, but in reality it was 5 days. Definitely not worth the $ we spent. Also the pool is a joke it’s about the size of a parking spot. I’m sure it was a last minute decision. Only good thing was waking up to the ocean rt there. Next...

'Pros: The property is beautiful upon driving in there is a beautiful lazy river pool with a swim up bar and right across from the beach. They allow up to 2 dogs for a non-refundable 125 fee and there is a large dog park at the back with 2 gated areas, which can open into one large area and plenty of bags and a trash receptacle. The hotel is also near rainforest cafe which is exciting since I haven’t been there since childhood. Fridge that works. Smart tv to view Netflix/Disney. Comfortable bed....

'We absolutely loved this hotel! Our experience was excellent from start to finish. The room was very comfortable, spacious, spotless, and included a kitchen, exactly as shown in the photos. We were also fortunate to have a spectacular ocean view that made our stay even more special. The breakfast was delicious, and the service was outstanding.
