"The value for the money of this place was excellent. You have to pay a small fee for access to the Big Canoe amenities, but it was well worth it. Be aware, this is a cabin-like place in the woods. There are spiders, and lots of them. One or two may even get into your cabin or spin a web on your car. ..."

"The hotel has been remodeled and the rooms had laminate wood look flooring which was great since we were traveling with pets. Beds were comfy. Room was clean and the air worked great,we kept our room at 65 the whole time."

"The cabins in the 5,500 acre mountainous resort are very, very remote and the windy, hilly, narrow roads getting to them are very scary, especially for us senior citizens. We are from the mountains of Virginia, and we've never been on roads like this. We checked out after one night."

"The treehouse was very secluded even though it was only 2 miles from downtown. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck and listening to the creek. The treehouse was clean and well stocked. The host was quick to answer any questions."
