'Hotel ligt in buurt die vanaf uur of 16 een en al gezelligheid is. Pleintje met Terrasjes aan de overkant van hotel, muzikanten op straat en kleine braderie. Hotel zelf is oase van rust, erg nette kamers en voor ons na lange vlucht heerlijke plek om bij te komen. Balie personeel heel erg behulpzaam.'

'Hostal Rio Amazonas is in een leuk oud koloniaal gebouw met charme. Het heeft een gezellige , kleine patio waar je kunt ontbijten etc. De staf is heel aardig en behulpzaam. De ligging is handig om de stad te verkennen. Het ligt aan een drukke weg met dag en nacht veel voorbijrazend verkeer. Er zijn gelukkig wel dubbele ramen waardoor je weinig last hebt van het verkeerslawaai of vraag om een kamer, die niet aan de straat ligt. Verwacht alleen geen moderne luxe, ook gaan airco's. 'Nice hotel, in a very attractive neighbouurhood (Lastarria). Close to metro (Belles artes) and city center. Very good breakfest, made to order with a lot of choices. Excellent staff.'

'Schoon en prettig hotel. Goede locatie. Dichtbij het centrum en bij restaurants.'

'Net hotel. Ligt midden in het centrum. Mooie ruime kamers. Restaurant stelt niet veel voor. Er is geen Lobby. Het restaurant was gedurende ons verblijf gesloten. Konden s'avonds niets eten of roomservice bestellen ondanks dat ons eerder op de dag was verteld dat dit wel mogelijk was.'

'We stayed here on our first visit to Santiago and found it to be a comfortable and welcoming choice. The location is excellent, with plenty of boutiques, cafés, and restaurants all around within easy walking distance. The room was clean and well-kept, though the wooden floors did squeak a bit. Most of the staff spoke English, which was very helpful as first-time visitors. Parking in the area is difficult, but we didn’t have a car and honestly didn’t need one since everything was close by....

'Room was quite spacious but no fridge. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is drinking water in the breakfast area. Location wise, the path to the hotel seems a bit sketchy at night. It’s a 30 min walk to the main attractions. There are lots of things to explore on the way so not bad. Overall a good place to stay at.'

'I had to catch an early flight next morning and told the reception that I’ll miss the complementary breakfast. The receptionist arranged a to-go breakfast for me to be picked up upon checking out. That thoughtful gesture really made my day.'
