'Definitely kids kind of place. I don’t know how any hotel can keep up with the wear and tear of children. It’s pretty visible.'

'Outside of this hotel is horrible! Weeds all over, cigarette butts everywhere very used and abused looking. Rooms were ok clean but definitely could be better, stains on the chair, leftovers in the fridge and the floor around the toilet needs more scrubbing. If this hotel wasn’t so close to our venue for the weekend I probably wouldn’t stay here. The staff was super nice and helpful!'

'Our room was clean and quiet ; we asked for it to be scent free for my husband who gets migraines from room fresheners, oils, perfumes etc, and also asked for additional pillows and they honored our request. Breakfast was minimal but just fine for our needs. The open area downstairs was very comfortable for visiting with our friends after breakfast who were also guests at AmericInn. The location was perfect for our stay.'

'Their breakfast needs a complete overhaul. The a/c was extremely noisy. Did cool off the room but so noisy we had to turn it off to sleep'

'The hotel is not as shown. Rooms are old and worn. The bathtub/shower combination was dangerous as the tub bottom was smooth. Easy to slip and fall on. Not very good for seniors that travel.'

'Hottub broken, no battery in remote, toilet paper holder fell off wall. My brothers room stunk, sisters room had no tv remote, breakfast was not refilled. Only motel in town, so what are ya gonna do.'

'Het is een gewoon, goed hotel. Niet spectaculair, niet heel speciaal, gewoon Amerikaans goed. Mijn kamer had 2 queensize bedden, en alles was in orde. Spijtig van het vloertapijt en het bad dat ook als douche dient. Het personeel is wel heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam.'

'Highly recommend for a simple, nice accommodation. In town for Monticello River days concert- The Fabulous Armadillo’s!! Nice people, easy check in, clean room. We’re in a heat wave right now and A/C was consistently perfect! Nice water pressure and shower wand! Plenty of restaurants, gas stations… 5 star stay.'

'It was good for the one night we stayed! Overall a clean place, just really dusty in some spaces. Other than feeling like I had to wipe off couches before sitting, it was a nice place!'

'Our stay was lovely! Our host and staff were friendly, communicative and responsive. The grounds were well kept. Our dog loved sleeping in the sun on our deck. The area is beautiful. We were there just as the leaves were beginning to change. The lake was like glass, reflecting everything perfectly. We definitely will stay again!!! '
