'If you are looking for a dose of peace & quiet, this is it. Long empty beaches, palm trees, the occasional monkey, orchids in the garden. The staff was very friendly. 'This is the 3rd time that I am returning to Halcyon. It really is the best hotel on Mawella beach (and maybe even in whole of southern province :) The hotel is beautifully and tastefully decorated, the staff are super friendly, including owner Xander, it's absolutely right on the beach , the food is great. What more to say, it's a little peace of heaven :) '

'Kamer met uitzicht op zee geboekt en meer voor betaald. Helaas geen zee te zien vanaf zowel het balkon als door de ramen. Airco functioneerde niet voldoende en lekte zowel in de kamer als op het balkon. Badkamer ruikt niet fris en komt zeer weinig water uit de douche. Verder wel schone nette kamer. Goede grote handoeken. Volgende keer zou ik toch een ander verblijf boeken. '
