'Don’t be fooled by the title on Spa, it could be fantastic as location is great. It’s tired and grubby, outside not maintained with paint on windows flaking and doors don’t shut. Also my shower had no running water. 20 mins to put 4 inches of water in a bath because of the 50 holes in shower head only 6 had water coming out. Also charge extra for use of facilities. Typical of an OYO hotel. Never again'

'Nice quiet room (as requested), very clean, friendly desk/cleaning/restaurant staff, great location for business travels (NEC/international railway station). Pay attention: put your bread through the toaster only once!'

'Nice bar and restaurant. Staff very helpful'

'The place is charming! The restaurant and bar was an old pub hundreds of years ago and the place maintains the old timbers and charm of that era. We had delicious breakfasts each morning and one great dinner there. Our room was extremely comfortable and the staff were helpful and friendly. Excellent place to stay'

'The hotel is very pretty and picturesque. Housekeeping and the rest of the staff were very friendly and polite. Reception was the exception. Nothing major, but when we arrived, staff weren't sure about simple things like parking or whether we could use the business centre, and kept having to check with each other. A smile and a warm, friendly greeting would also go a long way. It's the first impression guests get, so it's a shame it didn't match the rest of the stay. The air-con in my room...

'Nice hotel, a lot of accommodation but a bit chaotic '

'Zeer goed middelgroot country hotel. Hotel is mooi gerenoveerd. Ontbijt is zeer goed. Zeer ruime keus. Personeel is zeer vriendelijk.

'Staff was amazing. Tasha was a superb. She dealt with a lot of things when we were there.'

'Beautiful location, great atmosphere, lovely Salons, delicious food, and overall refined design-concept! The only downer: currently construction site, that disturbes the peaceful harmony.'

'The impression from the lobby/reception was worrying -- tatty carpet, dark, old-looking, and mismatched decor. But the rooms were comfortable and generally clean, though there was a bit of mould in the corner of the shower. The breakfast buffet was good, salmon-avo toast was very nice. The coffee was silly weak though, had to ask for a new pot. We had a pleasant stay but will probably try somewhere else next time.'
