'This hotel was surprisingly pleasant! It was clean and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub area were exceptional, very clean, great hot tub, and lots of fun for the kids after a long day of travel. Breakfast was good. Coffee could use improvement, ha. But otherwise a nice stay. Room was spacious and had everything we needed.'

'My stay turned out to be ok after my room was changed but it didn’t start out well. I was initially given a room that was being renovated (much of the hotel was being upgraded with new carpet.) It was a bit dirty, noisy and dusty and I wouldn’t have chosen the property had I known ahead of time that renovations would be taking place. 'The only deficiency with the room was the bathroom faucet that had a very low flow. I used the laundry and breakfast; both good. I would have used the pool, but the pool room was way too hot. Overall it was good value for a single traveler looking for basic lodging.'

'Property and staff were great, very cute place. Only thing I would mention to future travelers is this isn’t walking distance to Jack Trice stadium (a google search showed it as 5 minutes). Also, if booking through Expedia, your contact isn’t shared so they can’t send you the codes needed to get into the doors. Luckily, Iowa house phones are manned and they promptly sent once I called them.'
