'The property is good for people who love the nature and wild. The noise of the frogs is loud and if you can’t handle noise at night do not stay here. The shower was outside with no door and the bathrooms are also outside but you can’t flush you have to use dirt.'

'We stayed in the Dolphin room; a convenient and clean room with outdoor shower. When showering in the evening you can see a sky with stars. Dragonfly ranch is an unique place with a nice, even spiritual, vibe. The staff is very welcoming. For the light sleepers; the frogs are really loud. One of us used earplugs which were provided. Breakfast was tasty. Overall we would recommend this lovely place.'

'Our hosts were knowledgeable about the area and friendly. The view from our balcony (lānai) was amazing with all the lush plants and flowers. The breakfasts were delicious and hardy! We even loved the coqui frogs singing us to sleep at night!'

'This property’s location is probably one of the best in the Captain Cooks area, the views from the pool deck are stunning. Sarah’s breakfasts are one of a kind, fresh, healthy and a different taste everyday. At the Luana-Inn you’ll feel like at home, no room service but everything you need is available, just ask. The 2 cabins near the pool need acoustical insulation from the floor above. The Captain cook area is like a jungle, luscious green and beautiful winding roads to get to the property....

'Krista is an awesome person, she’s very attentive and very helpful! The property is a perfect little farm home to experience and I’m grateful for everything she offered there. We came right after the storm and almost canceled but I’m glad we didn’t! '

'What a fantastic spot and view! Such a wonderful spot to begin and end our days! We had plenty of room for a large multi-generational family and enjoyed exploring the area with this as our base. The kitchen had everything we needed! Kids loved the pool. Sunsets were outstanding! And loved visiting nearby spots in and around Captain Cook and Kona as well as Volcanoes National Park!'

'It was a very spacious house. The living room/kitchen were very large. There were two bedrooms. The location is great very close to a great snorkeling spot. There were lots of supplies we could use. We were very happy with the fresh fruit, the delicious cookies, the juice and eggs. It was a bit warm in house but with the fans and the air conditioning it cooled down soon! We had a very good time!'

'This was a lovely place to stay for our family of six (kids ranging 9-16). It is not new, but it has a lovely homey feel and was clean. We put two kids in bunk beds, one on the couch, and another on the living room bed. The living room space was comfortable for watching movies together and the dining room/lanai accommodated us well for meals. 'My family and I loved staying here! It was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. Our hosts responded promptly to a water leak we discovered at check-in and the rest of the stay was easy sailing. I loved listening to the frogs at night and the chickens in the morning. I would definitely stay here again!'

'The house fit the island vibe so well. Open air, the best views we could ask for. Everything was comfortable and clean and we loved all the amenities. The pool and hot tub were great and our kids loved the basketball court, pickleball court and ping pong table. The driveway to get down is fairly steep but we got used to it. Closest restaurants and grocery store were about 25 minutes so that was another thing we had to get used to. But for the view and quiet and peacefulness, it was worth it. The...
