'I was allowed an early check-in, which was fantastic in that I was in pain and needed a place to rest. The only down side was that I had some questions for the desk clerk and she was never at the front. I checked back 4 times within a foot hour stretch and no one was ever there. '

'We enjoyed our stay, property was just what we needed...a place to sleep, shower and minimal cooking for a few days. Bed is against the wall on one side and squeaked when you rolled over, but that was the only downside to our stay. Overall we would give it an excellent rating.'

'The Golden Alaska Lodge was such a treat. We loved staying away from town, the views of Silver Bay are amazing. It is such a peaceful home. The house is very clean, very well equipped for anything you may need. It was very comfortable. We enjoyed the spa and sauna after long days of fishing. Brian and Christine were great to work with. I definitely recommend booking this house if you are visiting Sitka!'

'Despite the nice location, clean apartment, stocked kitchen, and Val's effort to allow for an early check in, I would not recommend this place. Given the high price, I would not expect there to be so much noise from upstairs. The value for the price is not good.'

'Absolutely adorable stay here in Sitka. The space is quite big for a two bedroom. The only issue was a new building is going up right next to it and does block some of the views from inside. If you’re here tho, you’ll get all the beautiful views exploring anyways '

Very comfortable, safe, friendly place and town. Laundry worked well. Food: Beak for dinner twice, Highliner for coffee, bagels, breakfast sandwiches 4 times, Wildflower Bakery. Highly recommend! Katy and Jack have a great VRBO-stay there if you are in Sitka!'

'The property was lovely & comfortable, well-appointed, & very clean. It's a downstairs apartment but still had a view of the bay. Our hosts were friendly & helpful & very conscientious about any noise from upstairs. It was an excellent experience & we would rent from them again.'
