« Room was clean, but we found a hair in the bed, so could be a little cleaner. Bathroom was spotless and beautiful! Terry, the woman at the front, was wonderful to talk to and very understanding to us getting in late on check in. We ended up checking out a little late and they had no problem with it too. Overall, a great stay and will be comjng back in the summer! »

« An amazing stay in the beautifully quiet Blue Ridge mountains. Picturesque Lake Lure is only a short stroll away. Chef Richard prepares a wonderful gourmet breakfast each morning and this definitely not your basic B&B but all at very reasonable prices. Thank you all. I cant’t wait to return. »

« The sink was slow draining. The shower was too hot and when you tried to adjust it by turning it towards the cold, the water just trickled out and it was still too hot! The floor was so dirty my feet were black and had to be washed from walking across it. The staff was nice. The breakfast was fine: waffles, frozen Jimmy Dean egg sausage, cheese croissants, cereal, toast, bagels. »

« I freaked OUT over the general amount of filth and the amount of mold in the bathroom!! I never even put my things down. I took out my phone to take pictures of everything, then literally booked it out of there!! It’s no wonder they don’t show the bathrooms up close in the photos. « Firehouse Inn is filled with olde world charm. Hand painted walls, claw foot chairs, Bose audio system for easy listening, TV and a fireplace in large living room. Dining area can seat multiple guests in comfort. The hospitality is amazing! Donna’s cooking skills are mouthwatering and Mary is the go to person to get you settled in. Our bedroom had a very comfortable bed, lounge chair with ottoman and spotless bathroom. Shower was large enough for two people 👍! Will definitely visit again. »
