'we felt very welcome at Pam's ranch. First a tour of the house, then to our room. We immediately felt at home and enjoyed a nice cigar on the porch. We slept wonderfully in the bunk beds between the western saddles. Luckily with an electric blanket, it was chilling this night. Bathroom completely in style. The picture complete. Delicious breakfast with stories about the ranchbrand…great. Also nice to meet other guests in the main house. We met the horses and rode the ranch trick in the fields!...

'The value for the money of this place was excellent. You have to pay a small fee for access to the Big Canoe amenities, but it was well worth it. Be aware, this is a cabin-like place in the woods. There are spiders, and lots of them. One or two may even get into your cabin or spin a web on your car. Just remember that you are in their home and you'll be okay. Wifi is spotty at best.'

'I stay at this place a couple of a times a year. The lady at the front desk is always helpful and the television always works.'

'It's an older hotel, but very well kept and always affordable! The washer and dryer work great and only cost $2.00 per machine! Anywhere else you're paying almost $4, just to start one cycle. The staff is very friendly and always helpful.'

'The stay was fine. I did appreciate that the outdoor walkway/hall lights were left on at night. That felt safer, especially since allegedly someone called the office posing as my husband (I've been divorced for several years), and I had not gotten around to sharing my location with anyone, not even my family members. The owner/manager did call me before putting the call through, and the dispensed with it when I did not accept the call.'

'The property was exactly what we needed for our one night stay. The property was comfortable and reasonably clean. The only complaint would be that several lights were out and the property was pretty dark inside. It could use some updating as far as decor and furniture. The stools in the kitchen were not usable because they were very unstable and a screw actually fell out of one of them while we were there. It is a beautiful home in a beautiful setting. The host was very responsive.'

'The amenities for this property were great, and the grounds were beautiful, but the property itself wasn’t very clean. We found dirty dishes in the cabinets and there were bugs in the loft. Some of the lights didn’t work. There was no salt or pepper & we had to buy our own coffee and extra toilet paper etc. So if you’re going, bring everything you need. The phones were answered by an answering service who knew nothing about the property and could only page the management. We had fun but we were...

'This cabin is charming and cozy. It’s nicely decorated and well-stocked. We appreciated the selection of coffee pods and the bottle of wine. The hosts also had other thoughtful touches like a walking stick for the trails, maps and other information about the area. We enjoyed sitting on the deck to look at the stars. The hosts were very responsive. We would stay again. '

'The house is beautiful and newly renovated. The host has it stocked beautifully! They even provided all soaps, toilet paper, garbage bags and enough towels for everyone for the whole week.The drawback and why I did a 4-star is the driveway.
