'I don't understand how this place has so many 5 star ratings. While the outdoor amenities are nice, and the location is good, our room itself was honestly disgusting. The sheets were dirty, there was mold building behind the sink, the bathtub had rust stains, toilet seat was stained, and there was paint chipping everywhere. Whole family was ready to get out first thing on our checkout day.'

'This place is really nice! Rooms are adorable and the grounds are beautiful. Easy trail access to Van Damme beach and the trail itself is lined with wildflowers and lovely views. Nice chicken enclosure where you can feed them and the Llama are so cute! Breakfast delivered to tour room in the morning was very nice and the pizza restaurant had a nice selection of pizzas and salads. Super nice staff as well! Highly recommend!'

'Two level accommodations with upstairs bedroom and full living room/kitchen on the main level. Very nice with great view. Fireplace was only source of heat. If you are planning to use the futon (uncomfortable) the fireplace going on and off can make it difficult to sleep. Walls are not sound proof and can hear loud neighbors and cars.'

'Our stay at Ocean View Lodge was overall decent. The best part was definitely the ocean view — being able to sit out on the balcony, relax, and listen to the ocean was really nice. The room itself was older, but it seemed well maintained and clean. The bedframe was a little damaged, but it didn’t affect our stay too much. 'The property is right aback in the middle of everything. The room was older. My understanding a renovation is coming. For the price I don't think it was worth it. Need was comfortable but the building is just old.'

'Guys on frontdesk were not very friendly. Just normal. Bathroom and bedroom needs renovation. For tĥis amount it should be better. Location is ok. '

'We went for memorial weekend, had a great time, it was very close to everything. I would only add to be mindful of parking during holiday weekends. If you stay out late, the odds of finding parking there are slim. You may have to park somewhere else and walk back. Not a deal breaker, just a heads up. The walk was actually quick, nice and peaceful.'

'The ocean view scenery was lovely. The garden was beautiful. Microwave too high and awkward. Bathroom and coffee station pretty tight but had jacuzzi Biggest problem was that we came after 5pm and couldn’t access room because there we were out of the internet range by the coast. We had to go back into town to download information. So be prepared if you are arriving after hours. Had electric chargers too!'
