'We arrived late, so the office was closed, but it was still easy to find our cabin and navigate the property. We opened our window and fell asleep to the sounds from the creek behind our cabin. In the morning, we watched the ducks in the pond while we drank our coffee on the deck. The bathrooms and washrooms were spacious and clean. I wish we could have stayed longer. 'We had a one night stay in the bigger cabin. The cabin was clean and adequate for a short stay. Nice view from the front porch. We had to check in at the office and show an ID to get the key. Our cabin was close to the road and could hear the traffic and the train. The furniture and arrangement was random and the tv was not a smart tv and had no cable. Owner does have large selection of DVDs in the office. I expected a better stay for the price.'

'We absolutely loved our stay. The property is immersed in nature, close but far enough from Seward. The cabins are basic but this is really the point. The highlight of our stay was surely the friendliness of Gary (the manager/owner) and even his friends. A true pearl, a true local stay. Kids loved it too! The only place we stayed in Alaska that had its own playground, close to the lake. No small feat!'
