'We absolutely loved our stay. The property is immersed in nature, close but far enough from Seward. The cabins are basic but this is really the point. The highlight of our stay was surely the friendliness of Gary (the manager/owner) and even his friends. A true pearl, a true local stay. Kids loved it too! The only place we stayed in Alaska that had its own playground, close to the lake. No small feat!'

'The cabin was clean, well set up, and the host was very nice. The composting toilet is a compact, self-contained, above-floor unit, and the diverting flap was visibly soiled, which was immediately noticeable when the lever was shifted. The toilet stall is also open to the room, with an uncovered half-moon cutout and walls that do not fully extend to the ceiling. While we understood the cabin would be rustic, this lack of privacy made the toilet experience a bit too intimate for people sharing a...

'Rustic and epic! If you like being away from it all this is the place, Warm, clean. Beds comfortable and sheets w blankets Beautiful view. OK Cell service which surprised us. Bring water and cooking utensils.'

'The cabin we stayed in was idea for three people, It was clean and comfortable. Also, close enough to the Main Street of Talkeetna. There is no closet space in the cabin, there are a few hooks on the wall as you come in the door. There is also a bench where you can sit and take off your shoes, and a place to set your shoes underneath. All in all, it’s a cozy little cabin.'
