'I booked this stay for mum and my great aunt both over 80. Every Member of staff was exceptionally polite and helpful and made this short break very enjoyable for both of them they were made to feel exceptionally special.. The hotel left a card in my great aunts room wishing her a happy 80th birthday which made her day. On Behalf of myself, My mum Margaret Evans and my great aunt Mary Thompkins we can't thank you all enough. We would all highly recommend this hotel and the excellent service...

'good place, quite old and it looks it, but if you like being in a historic place it is great. It however has some rooms that are really uncomfortable. The place is a bit of a maze. We asked for another room and got a much better one overlooking the street.'

'A unique blend of modern and historic architecture. The hotel preserves the history beautifully. Guests can walk around and immerse themselves into life at Stanbrook Abbey during the 1800’s. Staff are welcoming and friendly. They dealt with queries professionally and ensured our stay was pleasant and comfortable.'

'We had the hayloft that could sleep 3 but was a win for us as a couple. It was in a out building, with easy access to the garden, bar and dining areas, but was a bit difficult to get suitcases over the gravel pathway. Very quiet, lots of space and windows to open. The restaurant meal and breakfast was fabulous.'
