'We had a wonderful stay at Studio Kohala Big Island Ocean View! The space was comfortable, peaceful, and offered beautiful views. Loved listening to the wind at night! The hosts were thoughtful and welcoming, and they even provided yogurt and fresh fruit for us in the morning, which was such a nice touch. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. 'Kohala Lodge is not just a place to stay, it is a destination. If you visit the Big Island, it is one of the bucket-list experiences you must have. Scenic, tranquil, magical all come to mind. Sit on the expansive front porch and contemplate that you are on an island in the Pacific with a view of Maui in the distance. Feed the animals with pellets provided by the owner. When the breeze gets quite cool, you can build a fire in the stone fireplace with wood provided by the owner. I did not cook, so...

'This property was perfect for my family. Not only was the house spacious, but the back yard was also huge. My children enjoyed playing in the yard, watching the stream at the edge of the yard, and visiting the neighbor's horse! Having access to the laundry was very helpful for us. We had everything that we needed in the house. Everything was clean. Communicating with our host was easy. Check-in directions were easy to follow.'

'Great private location, quiet and beautiful place to relax but close to activities. We cooked most of our meals there in the little kitchen which provided most of the essentials. The washer and dryer was perfect for our week stay. The room stayed cool with the extra fans. We definitelywill be returning. '

She gave us tips for restaurants, beaches, etc. She even supported our son during the Ironman. We loved the house. Our bed was even long enough for me (I'm about 2 meters tall). 'Unfortunately I am unable to provide information about my stay as I never stayed due to the Kona Storm that hit the Hawaiian Islands. We were unable to travel to Kona from the Island of Lanai because of boat and flight cancellations. Additionally to that it was disappointing that I was unable to switch dates or obtain a refund for this stay. I contacted the host who was unaccommodating to our circumstance. I am hoping they make right of this situation.'
