'Not well kept or clean in the slightest, the sheets were visibly stained, there was dust everywhere including the floors. Our cabin was meant to “sleep 7” yet there were barely enough pillows and blankets for 5 people. The person working the front desk was incredibly rude to us when we simply requested early check in the day prior to our arrival.'

'It was an okay hotel it served its purpose. We stayed 2 nights. My room was clean, but the hallways are dark and dingy pretty outdated, it’s a little eerie and hallway has a weird smell. I had a balcony but the balcony had cobwebs all over and felt kinda gross we didn’t end up sitting on the balcony at all it needed wiped down all over. 'Upon an initial entry into the room, it was quite obvious that cleanliness is not high on their list. I can assure you, the carpet was not swept. I cannot assure you, the bedsheets were washed as the sheets were quite wrinkled and there were dead bugs. The comforter on the bed was visibly dirty as well. 'Pros: Very nice place in a beautiful area with large lakefront rooms a few minutes from downtown Mackinaw City. They have bonfires & smores at sunset on their beach, and a basic breakfast buffet in the morning. Cons: Room was a musty, breakfast was just ok, coffee was sub-par.'

'Dingy, dirty, hot. room smelt like a mix of sweat and chlorine. Given a room right above the water park. Very outdated. No breakfast provided even though booking said breakfast. Waterpark is grimey. outdoor pool aging and murky water. Said beach access right across the street but its not. Location is convenient in the main downtown area. Overall not worth the money and lots of false advertising. Not even remotely close to the experience I thought we had booked'

'The staff were very professional and friendly. The lodge and room were clean not crisp. The A/C was loud. The rooms were old and outdated. The property was beautiful and well maintained.'
