'goede locatie om York en Yorkshire Dales te verkennen; uitstekende kamer, goed ontbijt en goede menu keuze, zeer vriendelijk personeel'

'We enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff. Loads of old Roman ruins around the property '

'Stayed in a feature room, really authentic. Staff are great and spa access was £15pp.'

'Great staff'

'Delightful location and presentation. Lots of thoughtful details. Thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay.'

'Brilliant hotel. Cosy place (which even had the pub dog greeting us which was amazing!). Only thing preventing this from being 5 stars was the shower facilities. Shower faucet is restrictive which can cause issues if you’re not wanting to get your hair wet. Maybe disposable shower caps could be provided to help this issue. Other than that though a fantastic place in a peaceful location. Would definitely stay again!'

'Zeer vriendelijk personeel, vlotte bediening, comfortabele kamer, goede keuken'

'The Devonshire Arms hotel is a really lovely place to stay. The room had everything we needed including a fridge and ironing board. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Super breakfast though there was no gluten free cereal available.'

'TOP!!'

'Mooie kamer maar niemand gezien van personeel of wat dan ook. Comfortabel maar vrij onpersoonlijk. Verder gewoon goed hoor, niks op aan te merken. Logging in fantastisch'

'Room was excellent with great shower. Evening meal from the restaurant menu was very good. Continental style breakfast was served to the room in a basket hamper. An enjoyable stay overall'

'Modern comfortable rooms, great big shower, and nice beds. Good dinner and nice staff. Good quality for a reasonable price.'

'Property is a castle, beautiful!'

'Castle itself is great. The annexe rooms are very small, basic. Bathroom again is tiny and cramped. Its a shower /bath which if mobility issues would be hard to get in and out. Shower ran at lukewarm . Would be better to rip out and install standing walking shower. Rooms all need a full refurb.'

'We just stayed four nights at this hotel. We enjoyed the location of the property—not to far from Leyburn, Hawes, or Grassington. Good location for short and long walks or hikes. You can walk to the falls from the hotel, and there are footpaths if you want to walk to all three falls. That was fun. Just a quick drive to visit Bolton Castle—worth the visit. We enjoyed the breakfasts—nice selection of pastries, cereals and fruit. And, the selection of hot items on the breakfast menu was...

'Amazing location and lovely staff. Sunday roast was delicious! Our room was very comfortable and surprisingly quiet. We came for the dark skies, and it was easy to pop outside at 3am when the clouds broke for a moment. Our stay was everything we hoped it would be and we’ve already booked a return trip next year.'
