'Gorgeous property, incredible old building and lovely grounds - the bar leads out to a garden where we enjoyed beers and great food, and the kids played hide n seek amongst the impressive topiary. Pool/ steam room etc was lovely and not too busy - heads up that if you have kids, even biggish ones, there are kid-free pool hours (from 5 I think) so if you arrive later in the evening you may not get them in. But the staff were very friendly and accommodating and let my tired kids in for a bit...

'Een prachtig gelegen hotel met een super vriendelijke service. De enige verbeterpuntjes die ik zou kunnen noemen zijn krakende vloeren en de wachtrij voor het ontbijt op zondagochtend. Maar alle belangrijke zaken waren prima in orde. We hebben heerlijk overnacht. Helaas hadden we geen tijd om van de Spa faciliteiten gebruikt te maken.'

'Prima hotel om een nachtje te verblijven. Als vakantiehotel niet erg gezellig maar als zakenhotel prima. Ligging ok, goed bereikbaar. Goed ontbijt en bar.'

'Staff were friendly. Room was not nice at all. Carpets dirty and damaged. Bathroom had black mould all over the ceiling and smelt very bad. Not a great experience at all. Whole place needs a big revamp '

'We had to abandon trip due to an emergency tried to move the booking to the following weekend. Initially hotel suggested it was possible but then decided it wouldn’t. Expedia staff were excellent in trying to assist. we understand the terms of the booking but as a frequent traveller the first time we have found a hotel operator to be inflexible which is a shame. As we weren’t able to complete the visit unable to comment on the rest of the facilities but unlikely to choose stop at a days inn...

'We asked for arrival at 1am. This was possible and the key was in our door for us. The breakfast next morning was outstanding. Lovely place, super friendly owners. Thank you Mary and Sarah '

'De kamers zijn netjes en je hebt vrij weinig last van de snelweg waar het hotel staat. Het het personeel is vriendelijk. Alleen de gasten zorgde voor overlast in de nacht op de gang. Wij waren er dan ook in een drukke periode '

'Vorig jaar hier geweest en een erg goed verblijf gehad. Dit jaar daarom voor het zelfde hotel gekozen. Of het nu door bezuinigingen komt of slecht management. Het leek wel alsof er een jaar bijna niets gedaan is. Verval in kwaliteit van goed naar op het randje acceptabel en er overheen. Voorbeelden: schimmel in badkamer, 1 handdoel voor 2 gasten, geen echte koffie meer maar oploskoffie bij het ontbijt, computersysteem wat uitvoel waardoor het uitchacken een uur vertraagd, '

'We only need a place to sleep en shower, but than it should be pleasant en clean. This hotel offers that very well. Good beds, clean bathroom, all the basic requirements including wifi. The staff is friendly, the included breakfast sufficient (full english if you want), the facilities are modern and bright. It is next to restaurants and fitness club and easily accessible by main roads. For one night of a whole week, this place is good to stay.'
