Good Fish and Chip shop around the corner (had the Haddock with chips and curry which was delicious and a good portion size) and a sandwich bar that serves breakfast items too (bacon butties recommended). Really good bakers across the road with numerous choices. Close to Montrose town centre and beach and on the way in from Dundee and the North. Benefit of Netflix on site and free WiFi. 'The cottage makes a good base for walks along the coast and also for trips further afield. The cottage is nicely furnished and very comfortable. The host was very helpful and we even got a basket of goodies. I gladly recommend staying at this cottage.'
