« Could not recommend this accommodation enough - a real hidden gem! Massive, secure 2 bedroom apartment in a wider bunkhouse complex which was, when we stayed, not occupied. Only 5 mins drive from Kirriemuir and so quiet and peaceful - in the heart of the countryside. Comms were great and all mod cons throughout including WiFi, TVs in all rooms and even a starter hamper! Will definitely book again. The dog loved the outdoor space which is literally ‘on your doorstep’! A+ »

« Fabulous place in a great location, very quiet and safe area and plenty of car parking available overnight with restricted parking during the day. Accommodation was excellent and I will definitely use it again, kitchen was well stocked and the bed very comfy and overall the place was very well done out and clean. Communication with the host was very good additionally. »

« Perfect location. Amazing views from your own bench set and fire pit or the porch. Cabin was very clean with all mod cons - even USB charging points. Comfortable bed and the best shower I’ve even experienced on a campsite. Owner was polite, friendly and helpful. We booked an extra night and will definitely be staying again - next time with dog! »

« What a beautiful property. A real feeling of luxury throughout. Incredible attention to detail is clear with the very best of appliances and technology. Warm and friendly hosts. A wonderful welcome gift too which was so kind. Highly recommended, we will definitely return in the future. Thank you Lolita and Alex for looking after us, we had a brilliant time. »

« Clean, warm, well equipped and great location »

« Great place to explore the nearby areas (Pitlochry, Dunkeld). We needed a space for 4 and a Bernese Mountain dog and it was a good size. Place was clean and had everything we needed. Once we figured out the heating system, it was all good. Would happily come back in warmer weather to take advantage of the BBQ. »

« Used as a base for a wedding. Comfortable beds. Parking and cleanliness of property were very much appreciated. »

« We had a fantastic weekend at the Manse. There is plenty of space, all the rooms are beautiful, clean and the beds are very comfortable. Lovely to use the wood burners when it got a bit chilly. The kitchen is well-equipped and the big driveway was perfect since we had quite a few cars coming. Host is very nice and communication was simple and straight-forward. »

"L’hôtel est très vieux et dans son jus Il ressemble à un labyrinthe pour accéder aux chambres (il faut monter au 3eme étage pour accéder par des escaliers aux chambres du 2eme… pas pratique avec des valises) Les murs sont très fins (on entend les voisins…) Et les prix sont élevés Je ne recommande pas du tout "

"Chambre à 350 euros…. Très chère pour une chambre non climatisée avec une température à 26 degrés et un ventilateur bruyant pour compensation. Chambre au premier étage avec un mauvais isolement des bruits extérieurs … on entendait les conversations fenêtres fermées des personnes passant sur le trottoir et le bruit insupportable du traffic routier. Produit de nettoyage présent dans la salle de bains… fallait il nettoyer sa salle d’eau ? Prestations petit déjeuner pas à la hauteur du prix. Et en plus on doit payer le parking !"

Best Western Balgeddie House Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"A la fin d'une semaine en Ecosse l'hôtellerie locale est assez décevante surtout du côté du Loch Ness...mais pas ici. Le bâtiment a beaucoup de caractère avec un beau jardin bien orienté pour prendre un café, un thé ou un apéritif. La chambre était de bonne taille (environ 25 M2), récemment refaite avec des accessoires de bonne qualité et très lumineuse. L'endroit est calme. Le petit déjeuner écossais est complet. La carte du restaurant est assez classique en Ecosse...mais le fondant au chocolat s'en tire vraiment très bien. La piscine chauffée est un plus. Le personnel est souriant. S'il y avait un point à améliorer ce serait de mettre 3 vieilles dames un peu éméchées et très demontratives un peu plus loin de notre chambre...mais cela fait partie de la couleur locale. A cela on peut ajouter que nous avons ressenti l'hôtel comme d'un très bon rapport qualité-prix. "
