« A 200 year old pub and inn - interesting ! Unfortunately our room was fairly horrible, we definitely got the hotels.com room : 200 year old mattress, wall view, kitchen vents under the window and lots of noise when we (or the neighbours) ran any water. Food in the evening was good and breakfast ok (very dingy dining room). Everything needs an overhaul. The staff were great though ! »

« This is an institution but honestly I'd rather have a drink here and sleep elsewhere. The staff were very kind and helpful. It was mainly that because of the awesome pub it is noisy until pretty late. More from people on the street going in an out than the pub itself. It was pretty warm so I needed to leave the window open for some air. It is in the middle of town and safe and clean though, only the partiers were a problem but I was there on a Friday night. »

« Situated in the very centre of Kelso, convenient place to stay when exploring the area. Checkin was done very easily, with clear instructions sent beforehand. There is a Greggs just in front of the hotel, and also several restaurants and takeaways in close vicinity. There was double glazing in the room, and hence better insulation. »

« Super accueil chaleureux et très humain.
Chambre propre et sans aucune faute.
La peinture dans la salle de bain est à revoir pour que ça fasse plus neuf.
Nous avons passé une très belle nuit. »

« Colin and Lisa were superb and friendly hosts and the stay was not only comfortable and clean, but also aesthetically pleasing. The breakfasts were well prepared according to taste. We were delighted with our two nights' stay there and will hopefully return soon. »
