  • Ruime open plattegrond cottage in een tuin. Verse kruiden in de bloembakken. Rustig romantisch toevluchtsoord verstopt in de tuin achter een Tudor-huis uit 1930, ook vermeld op HomeAway. Een blok verderop is het centrum van de eerste straat, zwembad, tennis, boodschappen, bank, winkels, cafés, bars, bibliotheek, spa's en restaurants ...
    Elke keer schoon beddengoed, comfortabel bed. Ethan Allen slaapbank, oké voor de kleintjes, maar kan de ruimte in het huisje beperken. Ook hebben veel extra beddengoed, dekens en kussens. Volledige grote keuken is uitgerust met borden, glazen, bestek, potten en pannen en veel extra's ..
    Internet en kabel-tv, games, boeken. BBQ en tafel stoelen en een lounge op de patio. Extra cafétafel buiten de Franse deuren. Dicht bij I 80 en 680. 38 mijl naar San Francisco, 24 mijl naar Napa Valley, 130 mijl naar Monterey & Carmel by the Sea Californië, 12 mijl naar Concord, Walnut Creek ligt net voorbij Concord, Yosemite 210 mijl, Lake Tahoe 174 mijl . De bergen zijn ongeveer 2. 5 tot 3 uur rijden geweldig skiën, wandelen, fietsen, meer, watervallen, paardrijden ... De kust ligt op minder dan een uur rijden. Mooie schilderachtige rit langs de kust. Slechts een opmerking om jassen zomer en winter te brengen, het weer in Californië kan veel variëren in een paar mijl. Wintermaanden zijn ons regenseizoen, maar we krijgen in de zomer regelmatig mist aan de kust.
    Ik heb extra maatregelen genomen voor uw comfort en extra aandacht besteed aan details die uw verblijf tot een geweldige ervaring zullen maken. Ik heb lokale restaurantmenu's, kaarten, lokale activiteiten ...
    Favoriete plekken om te gaan:
    Ons nieuwe favoriete ding om te doen is uilen kijken in de speeltuin op K na zonsondergang. Er leven daar witte uilen in de bomen en kunnen ook door het huis worden gezien weg van de lichten.
    Down Town Benicia is een favoriete historische en patriottische stad. A Main St Town, heeft het hele jaar door evenementen in het weekend, zoals muziek-, film- en kunstfestivals, klassieke autoshows, optochten, tarief voor venters, boerenmarkt op donderdagmiddag ...
    Benicia was de tweede hoofdstad van Californië met het Capital Building Museum off van First Street, Yacht Club, vissen aan het water, winkels, salons, spa's, sportschool, cafés, antiekwinkels, restaurants, kapel, speeltuin ... en openbaar zwembad en tennis volgende blok. Al deze zijn op loopafstand.
    Carmel by the Sea:
     zo schilderachtige stad in Europese stijl. Overal charme. Een van de missies van Californië die nog steeds in dienst is met de zondagsmis bevindt zich in Carmel. Een wandeling door Ocean Drive brengt u langs winkels, cafés en restaurants en verderop in de straat naar een zandheuvel met de Stille Oceaan aan de onderkant waar u kunt zitten en dolfijnen, zeeleeuwen en af en toe migrerende walvissen kunt bekijken. Duidelijke plek om de hele dag door te brengen. Naast de deur is Monterey en Pacific Grove, veel natuur overal om je heen, herten worden vaak gezien op de Pebble Beach golf grof en in de aangrenzende straten, veel water waden zwembaden te verkennen langs de kust. State of the art aquarium, restaurants. Ochtendwalvissen en dolfijnen kijken boottochten op de werf. Ik beveel The Grotto restaurant aan de Wharf Boardwalk van de vissers, heerlijk eten, heb nog nooit een slechte ervaring gehad.
    San Francisco:
    Spreekt voor zich. Een van mijn favoriete stad ter wereld.
    Napa Vallei:
     Wijnland, minerale spa's, ballonvaarten in de vroege ochtend ... prachtig uitzicht, wijnproeverij, restaurants ... Near by Sonoma heeft nog een missie, 18-eeuws kazerne-museum met de geschiedenis van Californië, restaurants, deli, oude bakkerij, winkels en boetieks ...
    Lake Tahoe:
    De plaats waar ze de tv-serie Bonanza filmden. De reden voor die serie was om kleuren-tv te promoten. Het is gemakkelijk om te zien waarom. Het meer is kristalhelder met zandige kustlijn en een prachtige groenblijvende berg. De geur van de dennenbomen is geweldig. Geweldig skiën en wintersport evenals stranden en wateractiviteiten in de zomer. Fietspaden gaan voor kilometers, paardrijden op een paar locaties. Het is meestal bergwildernis, maar er zijn een paar casino's aan beide kusten. Lake Tahoe ligt op de grens van Californië / Nevada.
    Yosemtie:
    Dit is een juweel waarmee het behoud van het Nationaal Park is begonnen. Abraham Lincoln nam de tijd in het midden van de burgeroorlog om dit park in te wijden en te behouden. Heel anders dan Tahoe. Yosemite Valley heeft hoge watervallen, sommige kunnen vanaf de weg worden gezien, maar een paar zijn verborgen tussen de heuvels en op slechts een wandeling afstand. Kamperen en huistenten zijn beschikbaar in Half Dome Village, waar een cafetaria, een ijs- en pizzeria en een nachtelijk amfitheater zijn. Er zijn gratis pendeldiensten in de vallei, evenals tourbussen die u de bezienswaardigheden kunnen laten zien. Glacier Point ligt verder aan de zuidrand van Yosemite, maar het is een must-see alleen in de zomer, de winter is gesloten vanwege de sneeuw. Een paar kilometer verder zijn de Sequoia's. Deze enorme bomen zijn de oudste levende bomen ter wereld en komen alleen voor in Californië. Sommige zijn meer dan 2000 en 3000 jaar oud. Onder hen zijn voelt als een kathedraal van de natuur.

Homey stay near downtown Benicia

Great location, competitive price, comfortable and well-appointed one room cottage. All amenities were spot-on, including a full kitchen and super comfy bed.

Cozy cottage stay

This little cottage was awesome. Nice little studio with a full size kitchen. Area is really nice, all the people I interacted with where really pleasant. It is a quiet and friendly neighborhood. I would stay here again.

Clean, cozy, in perfect location

The cottage is a studio, but arranged with plenty of space to spread out. The full-size kitchen, washer, and dryer were real pluses. The hostess was very responsive to my questions and requests, including an early check-in. It's located minutes from the historic shopping/dining district so walking is easy. It's also close to a grocery shopping center with a great frozen yogurt place. I would happily stay here again.

Had everything and more - gorgeous garden!

The cottage was perfect for the rainy days because it was cozy and had all I needed. Then the sunny days were awesome in the garden and in the neighborhood with everything in walking distance. Perfect!

Cozy cottage

Thank you Dina for a wonderful stay. Dina communicated with us throughout the process and made our stay very easy. She goes out of her way, through communication and all the extras in the cottage , to make your stay easy and stress free. We will be staying here again if ever in the area again. Benicia is a adorable little town close to a lot of the sites we planned to visit on our stay. I highly recommend this place and this town. Thanks again Dina. Chris

Lovely cottage

The cottage was small and adorable, and very easy to access. The problem was it was double booked, and we were asked to leave a day early. The owner was very accommodating and my understanding is you will be giving us a full refund.

Cozy cottage in Benicia

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this quaint, cozy studio, perfect for two, with French Provincial charm and a well-equipped modern kitchen. The bed and furniture were comfortable and supplies were plentiful. The shower had soap, shampoo, and conditioner, and paper products were generously provided. I can't think of a thing we needed that wasn't supplied.The gardens are beautiful and the location was perfect. We could walk to the main street of Benicia to enjoy the town, restaurants, and the water views, as well as the Safeway for some groceries. Dina was a gracious, generous, and responsive host.

A succulent Shangra-La

This secluded cottage is a tiny oasis in Benicia. Certainly more than big enough for a couple and equipped with full size appliances from Samsung, wifi and an incredibly comfortable bed, this cottage is a wonderful place to stay. The host has equipped this place with all manner of supplies that would serve if you wanted to stay for a month. She has thought of nearly everything you might want to use while vacationing. About the bed. I am 6'3" and rarely find beds in VRBO stays which are comfortable. This one takes a page from Marriot with its incredibly soft, supportive and cozy beds. I slept as well as in my own bed. She has installed a mini-split for AC as well. Very quiet. The host is an avid gardener and the cottage has so many succulents and flowering plants everywhere and a small fountain. There are three secluded seating areas outside all of which provide shade and breezes. When I used Shangra-La in my title, I meant it. You'll agree once you stay here.

Wonderful hostess!!!

Dina really cares about the people who stay at her Vrbo home. Wonderful communication, gets back to you in a timely manner if you have any questions, checks to see if you need anything. Vrbo is furnished comfortable, has everything you need for cooking and a very nice kitchen. Would stay here again!!!! Thank you Dina.

Visiting family in the area.

This place was great; loved all of the succulents and security - well lit.. I could walk to restaurants, coffee, grocery. Also walked to nearby church as well as high school swim meet. Lovely town.

Sweet Benicia Cottage

This is a delightful cottage, with beautiful patios. It was very cosy with everything you need for a get away. The cottage was walking distance from downtown,and felt totally safe. The inside is charming, clean and has all the cooking equipment you would ever need,and great tv and WiFi. The host was super helpful and thoughtful. We will be coming back!

Lovely getaway cottage!

Loved the interior design, amenities, and location of this cozy cottage. Really well thought out--coffee and tea, lots of spices (for cooking), every cooking item you could want, quality dish ware, and even things like saran wrap and ziploc bags for use. Top notch fridge--with ice maker!--and she thinks of things like keeping pitchers in the freezer if you want to make adult beverages. Great stove and oven (made scones one morning). Great air conditioner/heater too--look for the white remote on the coffee table to begin using. Full size washer/dryer/up-to-date dishwasher, nice-sized microwave--you can really settle in and relax! Well-lit and plenty of plugs; strong wifi signal. Attention to detail is evident throughout the cottage, inside and out. And the local area is terrific--close grocery store, lovely restaurants and shops, beautiful pier to enjoy the sea life and listen to the waves. Just a terrific getaway!

We will come again

Perfect location for us in lovely Benicia, small but bigger than a hotel room. The spacious outdoor patio was a big plus as we had perfect weather and a chance to invite a friend and a few family members for drinks and snacks. We may well stay here again as we visit often to see grandkids.

Cozy cottage in a beautiful garden

We greatly enjoyed our month stay at Dina’s cottage. She was very responsive to our every need. At the end of the day, we loved having a glass of wine on a beautiful, private patio filled with flowering plants, after cooking dinner in the well appointed kitchen. Bed and linens were comfortable. Internet access was great. Grocery store and Starbucks are 2 blocks away. A beautiful waterfront, and lots of cute shops and good restaurants are just a short walk away. This property offers all you could possibly want and much more. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality, Dina. We hope to be back soon.

Lovely bungalow

We were in town for a surprise birthday party and enjoyed staying at this centrally located, very clean property with lots of amenities. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Cottage

Could have used air conditioner as. 3 nights were very warm. Ants in bed Thursday and Friday nights. Only a few on Thursday but a dead small insect under the top sheet at the foot of the bed was the source of about 40 ants. After killing them no more seen. We thoroughly enjoy The intimacy of the little cottage. Thanks so much

A Quiet and Peaceful Place to Stay

The unit is very well equipped. The kitchen was a joy to cook in as they had provided every kind of seasoning, sauce, and condiment.. Appliances were high end. The cable streaming was excellent. Internet was excellent. The outdoor patio was spacious and comfortable to sit in, though very hot in the afternoons. The bathroom provided a comfortable place to bathe. The unit is not airconditioned and so there were days that were quite warm inside. They did provide fans and that helped. My main complaint would be the mattress. It was a spongy mat over a mattress. It was not very comfortable. And should be updated. Dina, my host, was extremely friendly and helpful.
