'I had room 524 on the fifth floor. Shower water never got hot and I waited a good five minutes. The air conditioning/heating system would not heat. The pillows were obviously very dusty as I am allergy sensitive to dust. In general, it seemed this room hadn’t been slept in in a while or had not been well cleaned. Very good breakfast! Desk service at check-in was not very friendly and very mediocre. Feel like I deserve a refund.'

'Comfortable room but not a great range of breakfast items. Many of us do not eat sugary food for breakfast.'

'Property isn’t bad. FANTASTIC parking lot if you have a larger vehicle or a trailer behind you. Hotel itself is older and showing some signs of being tired but kept in good shape. Only complaint was I waited 20 min for the front desk clerk to show up to check me in. She was no where to be found. Not exactly what one wants after 18 hours of driving.'

'Clean room, mini fridge and microwave, and reasonable choices for breakfast. Close proximity to local stores and restaurants, and a good spot to stay if you mean to explore the New River Gorge area. Finally, a hotel with decent pillows. That seems to be a common problem now, so if travelling by car, I typically bring my own pillow.'

'Nice and restful place'

'This hotel was superb! A great Value and I believe it was the owner that checked us un and was efficient and very friendly! I totally recommend this prop'

'The property was clean and convenient'

'The girl at the reception at our arrival was very nice and helped us out greatly. Unfortunately the room smelled of cigarettes and could use renovation.'

'Ok'

'Hotel was going through renovations, lift wasn’t working properly and then they turned off the lift for two days even on day of checkout. We were told someone would help. Nobody picked up call at reception. Pulled down two big bags for three floors. Might be a good stay once they are done with renovations.'

'DO NOT BOOK AT THIS PLACE! I arrived at night in the pouring rain after a long day of driving. The office was locked, with a note on the door saying to call this number. When I called and asked to check in, I was told they had no rooms because of a “water problem”, despite the room already being booked and paid for in advance. I was left stranded with nowhere to stay, and the guy could not have cared less. I said, “You couldn’t have called people to give them a heads up so they could make other...
