'Fantastic hotel. Everything was clean , and well maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel shows it age, but they do a great job keeping everything up to date. Breakfast was your traditional continental breakfast, but tasted great and fresh. The pool was warm and I enjoyed that they keep it open until 10pm. I was able to take a quick dip after dinner. The pool is a heated as well.'

'They had an extraordinary knowledgeable and polite and good humored staff and the owner Mister Singh was very engaged with his staff and those that are doing the renovations of the building which will coming along very well , just in the time I was there for 3 nights. 'First and foremost Split Rock did not make me aware that we were staying separately from the actual hotel. This may have been a blessing because the hotel seems like its falling apart. Everything is old and needs to be updated. The place is so dirty and things donts even work. I was very disappointed with the experience and will not be returning. The waterpark was horrendous'

'Seems like it would be a nice enough place to stay with the family for a vacation getaway right on a lake. However, we were traveling across I-80 and just needed a place to stay overnight. This was a ways off the highway, so it required some extra driving to get there. The room was okay. It's an old motel that has been renovated but still seems a little tired.'

We stayed for a week and have to go to front desk to ask for housekeeping to obtain clean towels and sundries every third day when we see nobody coming to make room.
