'It was tidy place, but cockroaches. I guess theres not much you can do considering the country we were in. When we walked in to the unit, the entire unit smelt like cleaning product which lasted over a day and it bothered me a bit. Having working stove, microwave and sink was handy! Power goes out if you use stove and microwave at the same time though. It was hard rocommunicate with the host unless you walk in to the check in office. I tried to reply their email, it bounced back as it is...

'We had a good stay at Palmares overall. The property itself is gorgeous and our Signature Apartment was a huge highlight — spacious, spotless, well designed and really comfortable. We had a two bedroom and the second bedroom was actually separate from the main apartment, which was great for privacy. The staff was also incredibly kind and helpful. 'Don’t rent this property! The owner (Pamela) does not know what she is doing. The checkin process was terrible. I did not get the code and instructions and she could not send it for several hours. The dishwasher does not work and woke me up with incessant beeping at night. They tried to kick me out at 10am even though Expedia clearly said the checkout is at 11am. The property manager João yelled at me saying that I need to get out. They don’t have any sense of customer service at all'

'Great location at the top of old town. About 2 minutes to the centre of town and about 10 minutes to the marina. The rooftop was a beautiful spot! Light sleepers come prepared - you will hear street noise and seagulls even with the shutters closed. Overall a clean and comfortable stay, would recommend to friends and family.'
