"Het hotel zelf is erg netjes en schoon. Kamer was prima qua formaat en comfort. Een fles water was wel welkom geweest. Al was de service in de lobby uitstekend, werd deze door het restaurant teniet gedaan. Erg lang moeten wachten tot een keer bestelling werd opgenomen (ruim half uur voor alleen wat drinken) en dat ik dessert had besteld kwam deze niet en ben ik na drie kwartier gaan vragen om waar deze bleef en bleek deze niet te zijn aangeslagen en heb ik maar om de rekening gevraagd. Eten zelf was oké, al was de ribeye verre van medium rare, was meer medium tegen well done aan."

"Hotel was good, restaurant took forever to get food. Did not check up for drinks or desserts. Took about an hour for just burgers, quality was good though. "

"Kamerdeur sluit niet, met een duwtje gaat ze vanzelf open, zelfs als ze ‘op slot’ is. Een lamp werkte niet, geen handzeep,…alles lijkt nogal afgemeten. We konden niet in de kamer vòor het normale incheckuur, nochtans was het hotel quasi leeg. Mooi gebouw, maar spijtig van de smakeloze architecturale ingrepen, gecombineerd met goedkoop nieuw meubilair (ontbijtruimte). Voor een prikje kan je tegenwoordig authentiek Engels meubilair vinden, dat perfect in een dergelijk mooi gebouw zou passen en veel warmer zou over komen. "

"The staff was very friendly and helpful. The city centre is a 35 - 40 minute walk. You can also take the bus which stops 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The rooms aren't very special but will do for a short stay"

"All the horrors of the film the Shining but without the grandeur of that hotel in the movie. We booked a 4 person (family room) and 4 beds is what we got. But they had put these beds in a 2 persons standard room. So it was absolutly crapped and packed with no space for anything else. One of the beds was a sleeping sofa with a uncomfartable matrass.Our view was on a big LED billboard just 10 metres form our window that flickered all night long through the curtains. We had a terrible noise from 10 electricity generators of the welcomebreak facilty next doors that were placed below our window. We had to let the window open as there is no airconditioning in the room and it was stuffy and very warm. Terrible night out of a horror movie. Very friendly staff that moved us to another room the next day. But it was too late and the room was as little as the previous one. Less noise from outside though. Can't recommend this!"
