'On first arriving to this hotel all seemed well, staff member was polite, explained all we needed to know and helped us to our room, once in the room we noticed that it needed to be maintained better as there was cracked tiles in the bathroom, frayed carpet areas, paint chips and marks on the doors. The furniture such as the dressing table is bubbled up and the tv remote was dirty also. The bed was very hard and left me with a very painful back, the pillows were flat and so had to fold them to...

'Parfait pour la chambre Petit déjeuner à revoir sur la qualité '

'We really enjoyed our stay at The George. It was authentic, absolutely clean as a whistle and the staff were incredibly helpful and nice. It is an authentic old inn so there were some creaky floors but it fine for us. The staff and the food were amazing. I would stay here again.'

'We were very disappointed. Lack of maintenance meant room was very poor. Room was vvv cold, we were given an extra duvet. Windows didn't shut properly. Bedside lamp didn't work. Shower head not fixed to wall. Room was small but we expected that.'

'Prima verblijf, super vriendelijke mensen. Wij verbleven met 5 op een kamer (3 kinderen) en was relatief beperkt qua ruimte, maar heel proper en een prima doorreisverblijf.'

'Had a great stay, room 1 was fantastic. We enjoyed the comfortable bed and a sofa was a bonus. Great bath, one thing to note may be the addition of a shower curtain, we managed to soak the floor every time we used it. Water and orange juice was a nice touch and filtered coffee was tasty. We did feel the stairs were very deep and the additional of another hand rail may be something to consider. Lovely dark room and we slept so well. Breakfast was great, nice to see all local and home grown...

'Voor de 3e keer met plezier gelogeerd. Prettig hotel met prima bediening. Voelden ons, vooral door de prima bediening door Lola, snel weer thuis. Voor herhaling vatbaar!! '

'vriendelijke mensen, alles netjes geregeld.'

'Really nice house, friendly staff and great breakfast'

'We were only there for a stopover. The house was lovely and the host was very accommodating. They were very thoughtful and we appreciated it!'

'Chris was een goede gastheer. Sprak vol over Bath en gaf veel nuttige tips. Super attent dat we een herinnering kregen over het verschuiven van de tijd.'

' Goede kamers, vriendelijk personeel en niet teveel drukte. Ze hebben een verwarmd rook plek en het ontbijt was geheel zelfstandig en lekker.'

'We were not told there would be a wedding in progress so the music was quite loud until 11pm. There was no option for early takeaway breakfast at 8am, and no option for room only. The restaurant still set up for wedding, with chairs stacked up.The female staff in the restaurant were very nice and the food excellent, something a bit different. Our shower head kept falling down & the toilet flush handle broken. The room was spotlessly clean.'

'The hotel offers free parking, which is a big plus as we traveled from Belgium to England by car. It takes only 10 minutes on foot to reach the centre of Bath, so we used the car only when visiting the surrounding villages. Our room was very spacious, and the nice surprise was the Nespresso machine. Also, the breakfast was delicious, and vegetarian options are available.'
