Geweldige plek in hartje Kent
Heel mooi hotel. Ook de naastgelegen cottages zijn heel luxe. Goede prijs/kwaliteitverhouding. Check de pub The Three Chimneys, op 15 min rijden. Een geweldige pub met goed eten en local ales.

A most beautiful property in enchanting grounds. The Spa is a huge let down as it’s riddled with MOLD ! That’s a health hazard and needs attention ASAP !

Expensive price, average quality.
I’ll break my review down into component parts for individual review. I booked this trip as a relaxing treat for my partner for her birthday. I booked her 4 treatments (Elemis Pro Glo Resurface Facial, Lava Shell Full Body Massage, Champneys Manicure and Pedicure) She told me the facial was excellent 8/10, massage great 7/10, and Manicure and Pedicure were good 6/10. The food over our stay was excellent 9/10. The Day Spa was quite basic and I was very underwhelmed. A basic pool, hot tub was out of use, steam room and sauna. Nothing to write home about 5/10. Our room for the night again was very basic, and the heating didn’t work so was very cold. I thought the room was overpriced and not much better than a premier inn for more than twice the price. 4/10. So my overall rating for all would be 5.5-6 out of 10. Rating - quite average.

Poor room quality
We had high expectations but didn’t have a good stay due to the poor room quality. We were given a twin instead of double bed despite our request. The bathroom ceiling filter broke on the first night of our arrival & therefore maintenance had to fix it. Despite us reminding x3, housekeeping wasn’t done. Whilst the spa was nice & staff friendly, considering the price paid, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here

Nice stay, unlikely to return
I had expected a little more from a Champneys hotel. The hotel was beautiful, staff all very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was tasty and filling The room was a good size however there were a number of issues. The taps made a loud squeaking noise when switched on, the windows opened but they were either wide open or shut seemed the catch was broken. The sheet on the bed didnt cover the mattress fully and had a hole in it and the pillows were not comfortable. I woke up with a headache due to sleeping awkwardly. Tried to call reception about these points but no one answered. For the money they ask for this room I dont feel we got our moneys worth I really expected more of a luxury experience than the reality.

Has such potential but neglected
Upon arrival wasn’t told about spa access times or breakfast times and location, felt a little rushed. Spa and pool area is not clean, purely staffed and the number of guests in it isn’t accounted for so made it incredibly over crowed and not pleasant to stay. Rooms are not kept modern and poor bed linen. Breakfast was greater by a leaking ceiling and guests not moved elsewhere - service was incredibly slow before that even happened. Full English however was decent. Overall a let down and a waste of money.

Ground were lovely - but just an ok break overall
Hotel grounds and building are very impressive. The spa is in need of a bit of maintenance - jacuzzi was not working - and 2 of the 3 jets in the aqua pool were broken. Paint was coming off the ceiling too. Pool area was quite crowded so you didn’t have the sense of relaxation that I wanted. Sauna and steam room were good. My wife had a treatment and that was lovely as were all the staff. Main hotel feels like it is being run as a training centre - everyone was quite young and they didn’t provide the best of service. It also felt like they were rushed off their feet or maybe a little inefficient. Waited in the terrace for 15 minutes until being server by a polite young man who had walked past us several times only taking one order at a time. So maybe that was also part of the problem. Bar staff were very friendly when I got fed up and got the drinks myself later on after dinner. Food was good but again service was a little slow and no real follow up to check if we were ok and to provide more drinks. Overall the stay was ok - but not as good as we were hoping for especially for the price paid.

Very disappointed! Not worth it, at all!
Having spent as much as we did and knowing we were coming to a supposed 4 star hotel to say we were disappointed is an understatement! We were initially ignored on arrival as the conversation the employees were having was obviously more important than guests. Once acknowledged, check in was great. However our room was tiny, dirty on the carpets and window sill and spiders all over the ceiling, not at all what we expected! The TV was totally useless and had no access to any channels or apps! Thankfully the bed was comfortable so we slept well. Breakfast the next morning was a shambles! Took over an hour to be served! The cold buffet was tasty, but ran out quickly, staff didn’t seem to notice. The cooked breakfast was bland, over cooked and some parts, inedible!! Thankfully the Spa and massage were amazing but these were paid for separately. Avoid the hotel, they don’t seem bothered by customer’s dissatisfaction either.

This was our second visit to Eastwell Manor. We love the hotel and grounds, but this time around it didn’t seem to feel as special. On our first day the showers in the Champneys spa were broken. The outside pool had a lot of dirt in the bottom and didn’t seem to have been cleaned for a while. Strangely outside of our room were about 10 dead wasps on the cream coloured carpet. Whilst the cleaners had been in and cleaned our room, they seem to have stepped over the walls and left them there for our 3 day stay (they were very difficult to miss). The room was pleasant but extremely hot and had no comfort cooling/heating system. Even with a fan it was very hot.

Beautiful location and stunning gardens however rooms are not of high quality; Dusty, dead insects, no mirror in bathroom, no exhaust fan and no air conditioning making the room extremely hot and uncomfortable to sleep in. Restaurant staff reminded me of Fawlty Towers.

Eastwell manor is supposed to be rated 4 stars. The spa experience definitely is, the quality of the room’s especially in the mews is appalling. We had to change our room as on arrival the toilet seat was hanging off, the shower curtain was hanging off the shower didn’t work. The room carpet was filthy stained and the room was dirty. The room we were moved to was also filthy the wooden floor was stained with white paint and generally marked with stains from spilt drinks. The shower door leaked and the tray was rusting at each end of the door. We had 6 rooms booked in total all our friends even those in the main building had similar issues regards the cleanliness. My daughter the bride to be couldn’t even shower in her own room due to no water from the shower head. Appalling.

Really disappointed, was expecting a lot more , my room was tiny , could barley walk in there, no air con the windows had rotted where the wood was rotting away , spiders all in the room and wasps in the hall way. The spa facilities one of the jacuzzis wasn't working , the ceiling looked like it was falling off in the jacuzzi area , however I will say the staff were all lovely and the rest of the spa was good. The outside area was beautiful I feel that's the only think other than the spa that compliments this hotel.

Comfortable bed, excellent rainforest shower. TV took an age to switch on, bathroom window wouldn't open, shower sealant black and peeling, pot cover on hot tap kept falling off, sink plug useless, bedroom window wouldn't lock and most of paint flaking off. Steam iron leaking which soaked clean clothes requested replacement which was never delivered. Waited over 60 mins to check in with only 2 people on the desks. No queing system guest were anxious and rather frustrated. The breakfast and main hotel building was excellent and staff most helpful at other times especially. Louie in the bar was most helpful. Sadly, not deserving of the expenditure associated with the standards and those received at Tring..

Safe need battery, tv not good reception, room on ground floor no nets so overlocked by people using the car park . Like being in a gold fish bowl . Cleaners left soaking wet rag in the room, no information about how to get towels refreshed or not. Not much infor on pool . Menu prices not including vat so bill total a surprise and servuce charges and donation to charity already added to the bill

Probably the poorest service I’ve received
Although a beautiful hotel we had a horrible experience staying there. In the middle of the night at past 1.30 AM they were building up for a wedding the next day. The young staff doing the set up were neither mindful to sleeping guests nor trying to be quiet. Instead banging doors, chit chatting loudly and thus making it impossible to sleep. At past 1.30 AM I left our room and yelled at their staff as I still couldn’t not fall asleep. It was insane. I have never stayed at a luxury hotel with so much disregard for their guests. Past 12 AM there should be NO NOISE created by staff. The breakfast area is also a hectic frenzy with no oversight. It was obvious the guests were getting incredibly poor service and were visibly unhappy. We slept so poorly that our relaxing night away stay had an adverse effect on our energy throughout the rest of the week. At check out I asked the lady to speak to a manager. She said the manager would be in touch and took my details. To this day 5+ weeks after no one has ever called me back ( even though I called a few days later to ask when the manager would make the time to talk to me). Ridiculous and just unfortunate that you receive this kind of service at a hotel like this.

A Disheartening Mini Moon Experience - Room Co
heavy heart, as I feel compelled to express my profound disappointment and frustration regarding the recent stay at your establishment. My wife and I chose to celebrate our recent marriage by embarking on a mini moon at your esteemed location after our wedding on the 2nd of July 2023. Regrettably, our experience proved to be far from what we had envisioned. From the moment we stepped into our assigned rooms, our excitement quickly turned to dismay. The initial room we were given presented an utterly disconcerting sight. To our astonishment, dead insects were strewn across the floors, the bathroom was in an abhorrent state with remnants of rubbish scattered about, and the bed sheets were covered in foundation. Adding to our distress, the door had been left wide open upon our arrival. Hoping for a reprieve, we requested a room change, only to be met with further disappointment. The second room, too, left much to be desired. Disturbingly, we discovered mould infesting the floor near the bath and bathroom, as evidenced by the attached photos. The bed was marred by strands of hair, and the floor exhibited an unsightly mess, as depicted in the images shared. The glassware provided was also stained with lipstick marks, and a red blemish on the bed frame only compounded our dissatisfaction. To our disbelief, even the window had been shattered. More to say, but not enough words.

Great location with comfortable accommodation. Very disappointing that the outdoor pool was closed on the longest day of the year and that in the Spa both the Jacuzzi and hydrotherapy pool were out of action when i visited.

One of England's most beautiful hotels
Eastwell Manor must rate as one of the most beautiful hotels in the UK. The building is incredible, the staff are wonderful and the whole experience one of total relaxation. I stayed in one of the rooms in the annex and the bed left a bit to be desired but everything else during my brief stay was perfect.

The Best Bedroom Ever
We had a lovely stay here for my Birthday, the bedroom was to die for with a four poster bed looking out onto the gardens. Breakfast was very dis-organised and our room wasn't ready upon arrival. The spa was lovely but a bit disappointing that we had limited times and hours to use it. Thank god it was a hot day and we could sunbathe by the outside pool. Would go back again though as the walks around the area are fabulous.
