We made it to the hotel pretty late in the evening, and parking lot was 3 min away from the hotel. They gave us a parking ticket that didn’t work at the check out and we had to pay extra 12$. Cheap . Location was good, room was clean. Didn’t try the breakfast.

Great location for walking to a show at Harrah’s and perfect spot to walk and eat. So many spots to walk for coffee, breakfast and dinner! Parking area is smallll and smallll! Get there early for a spot.

The room was nice , parking onsite is tight but they do have an overflow lot available.The staff was nice and pleasant to work with. Noisy upstairs guests the night we stayed. It was convenient for walking to stores and our venue for a concert.

This is an honest assessment of this property. The immediate impression was…you have to be kidding me. The outside appearance was poor at best. The “lobby” was not any better. I certainly did not have any expectations for the room itself. That said, the room was small but well equipped. It was clean, neat and maintained. The beds were comfortable. The shower was good with adequate hot water. The air conditioner was exceptionally quiet. My only issue with the room was that it was overlooking Patton Avenue which, on a Friday night, was unbelievably noisy until 1:00AM. It was impossible to go to sleep because of the excessive noise. The best thing this hotel has going for it is the location and its closeness to the downtown area. This hotel would be a gem in the rough if it only appeared more inviting. It certainly is a bargain for the budget minded traveler.

I notified them early that I was on a red eye flight and it was delayed. They still felt the need to charge my account. They did provide me a refund. The breakfast is a continental which is lousy anywhere you go at best so when the waffle batter was watered down and chunky of mold looking I wasn’t impressed. Day two the bartered was remedied yet the coffee was cold. It is what it is. Staff was friendly and help fortunately.

I have been charged for my one-night stay in THREE separate transactions on my credit/debit card! I had booked the hotel days before in advance and upon check-in the person asked for my card (which I can understand would be charged the next day at checkout but only for ONE $100 rate....not two plus what cannot afford

This guest did stay with us for one night. The statement that she was charged mulitple times is not true. The guest was only charged one time for her stay. We tried to explain this to the guest many times, but we have not been successful in convincing her that she was only charged one time.

Thin walls so it was noisy at times, definitely old, and the elevator was mildly scary but overall worth the price and in a fantastic location! The staff was nice and we had no issues with our room. Everything was clean and parking was free. I would definitely stay here again.

I liked the property and especially the customer service of the first front desk agent who checked me inn. The rooms are nice, clean, bed was comfortable, shower was clean. When the hotel is busy, guest use overflow parking because the normal parking is small. The area gave me a feeling of not being very safe at night but nothing happened to me and the downtown is really conveniently close by, so maybe it was just my impression. I liked my stay and will come back when I return to Asheville.

Front desk reception was courteous and helpful! But I learned that you do get what you pay for. The location can’t be beat, but the building itself and rooms are pretty rundown. So if you’re Ballin’ on a Budget and want to be smacked downtown Asheville…. this is your place.

Staff was friendly, parking was packed and not ideal so there was an overflow to a neighboring store's parking lot that you had to be out of by a certain time. You are right by the road so loud cars, other guests must screaming with no real managing, and there is a walk signal by the road that beeps all night, nonstop, on the outter balcony side. So just be prepared that it's a possibility. Clean rooms, nice staff, walking distance to a lot, decent prices, so you get what you pay for. For one night, I'd probably go back for the convenience.

We liked the location. It was right downtown with lots of restaurants, bars, and unique shops. Our hotel room was clean and breakfast was decent. The hotel in general could use a makeover.

Decent for one night. Older building that the photos depicted. They photocopied id’s when checking in. Also, I had two double beds. They charged me extra to have my son and his girlfriend stay with me. The area didn’t feel the safest.

Love the location. a little older but clean. Breakfast isn't great but not a big deal. one big problem that's easy to correct. THE COFFEE WAS TERRIBLE! It's not that hard to have decent coffee. fix this and it would improve the rating considerably.

An excellent value in the downtown location. Room was a good size and clean, though on the Patton Ave side is noisy. Property overall is worn and needs a facelift. I came to breakfast one hour after the start time and the room was dark. Walkable to many downtown attractions.

You get what you pay for but even 100 is too much for this place. Walls are paper thin could hear the people next door who were super loud and drunk till 3 am. We asked to be moved and they said they wouldn’t move us but would talk to them and never did. Also the hotel itself and our room just felt super dated, kind of gross and not cozy. We told ourselves we just needed a place to rest and doesn’t need to be fancy but it was just not worth it in the end. Spent my last night in a diff hotel for 45 bucks more and it was way better and quieter. The only redeeming thing is the staff was nice overall. But will not go again.

Thank you for staying with us. Recently, we have made many significant investments in the property. For example, we have stocked our guest rooms with new furniture, carpet, mattresses, wallpaper and appliances. We also installed a new parking lot elevator adjacent elevator that gives our guests quick access to their rooms from the parking lot at the cost of 500,000. We have installed new RFID electronic lock on all of our guest room doors. We have also installed new heating/ ac mini split units in all our rooms at the cost of 450,000. We have installed a new roof on the main building at a cost of 250,000. We have installed fiber Internet services at the cost of 30,000. We have installed a fire sprinkler system and alarm system at the cost of 350,000. We have installed a new stairway tower at the cost of 600,000. We have also remodeled our breakfast area at the cost of 50,000. We have also replaced the lobby floor, lobby furniture, and lobby pictures. We have resurfaced and striped the parking lost at a cost of 7,000. Our location provides easy and immediate access to all of Asheville’s unique downtown area. Unfortunately, that also means it comes with standard city noise.

Great location to walk everywhere. The street it’s located on is very busy. Depending on where your room is located this can be very loud inside the room making it hard to sleep.
