« Staff efficient but robotic and lacked empathy. Bedroom tired and the lighting was inadequate when applying make-up. Dim lights might be romantic but a dressing table with a proper lamp so you can see what you look like is essential! Hot water in bathroom basin very slow in coming through and the toilet seat is misaligned »

« Très joli village dans le parc de Dartmoor. Hôtel de charme et très bon restaurant même si le service fût un peu long. À voir à proximité, là promenade à Becky Falls et le spectacle avec mes reptiles. »

« Breakfast good choice, poached eggs overdone and staff cheerful. Paper thin walls mean you hear every small noise so not great. Lovely grounds to walk in and the nearby Rock Inn pub well worth a visit. »

« Nice sizeable and comfortable room. Unfortunately it was quite hot due to it being on the second floor and after a string of hotter than usual days, not helped by the fact that the heated towel rail (from the hot water system) couldn't be shut off. But a great old pub to stay in all the same. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant. »

« Well located for shops and both Exeter Main and St. Davids railway stations. My room was compact but well thought out and well equipped. It was great to have a light next to the bed which you could turn off/on easily and the shower was good. Breakfast was first class, beautifully served and coffee one of the best. I would have liked more savoury options for the breakfast but that is just a small preference. Host was really helpful and very welcoming. I would stay here again. »

« Motel style which is convenient. Plenty of car parking spaces. Rooms are very small and quite claustrophobic if you are in couple. Wifi works well. Food and breakfast are ok, they have tried to make an effort but quite average really. Does the job for one night. Not a good value for money »

« The owner of the bed and breakfast, Sue, did everything to make sure that my stay was good. Nothing was too much of a problem, with an exceptional breakfast. I will go there again in the future with no hesitation.thank you Hillside👍. »
