'There was a constant beeping sound in the lobby that fortunately we could not hear in our room. We also could not hear the loud and constant rumbling sound that came from the property next door. The room smelled of old cigarette smoke. The bed side lamps had no light bulbs in them and everything on the night stand was unplugged. None of the 3 ice makers in the building were working. The shower curtain was literally hanging on by a thread. The hair dryer did not work because the plug casing...

'This is not a fancy upscale place. The price is appropriate. We just needed a place to sleep for the night. Our rooms were clean, shower had plenty of hot water. the water pressure was good, and the AC worked great. The beds were comfortable. They only had a grab bag for breakfast. We opted for a Whataburger just down the road. Maverick is the place to go for fresh ground and brewed coffee. If I am in this area and need a room for the night, I would stay here again.'

'To start, the drain pipe on the front of the hotel was on the ground. Great sign of how the rooms are maintained (they're not). We walk in the front door at about 10pm and see another couple who had been waiting for a clerk to check them in for 15 minutes. One of them went behind the counter in the back room trying to find an employee. We ended up calling the hotel and one of the staff members answered and finally came down the stairs to help check everyone in. Check-in was smooth but they...
