On the 2nd floor of the historical Dimorra dell\'Antico Porto, this beautiful appartment for 6 people is known as La Voce del Lago, the Voice of Lake Maggiore. The residence is right on the shores of the lake and opens onto the oldest square in Arona, the Piazza del Popolo. It is surrounded by history, as it is next to the 14th-century harbour which is now a quiet spot, not the bustling port it once was. On the opposite side of the square is a charming church which dates from 1592. The building\'s historical status is emphasised by coat of arms of the Borromeo family which decorates the 16th century arches and the wrought iron balconies.

On entering the apartment, guests are greeted with an airy open-plan living space with terracotta tile flooring throughout. The subtle and elegant decoration showcases the original stonework of the historical building resembling art. The apartment begins with a fully fitted kitchen equipped with a microwave and dishwasher. The dining space is furnished with an elegant table seating six and finally the living room, with a generous sofa and Smart TV with satellite connection. Large windows welcome the sun and showcase views of the piazza and harbour. The apartment benefits from air conditioning in the summer and electric radiators in the winter, making it a perfect year-round residence. WIFI is also available.

The apartment is centrally located in the busy Piazza and local bars and restaurants are just a stone’s throw away. Although a car is not required, free public parking is available.

Bedroom 1: The elegant bedroom is furnished with a king-size double bed, wardrobe and luggage rack with views of the piazza.
Bedroom 2: Located on the mezzanine floor, with pretty sloping wooden ceilings the bedroom is furnished with two single beds with ample storage and views of the lake.
Extra: The sofa in the living room converts to a double bed, comfortably sleeping 2.

The apartment has two bathrooms, one shared bathroom with a standalone shower, wash basin, WC and bidet. The second bathroom is ensuite to the master bedroom

The town of Arona is a charming spot with a lakeside promenade, wonderful streets to discover and offers breathtaking views of the lake and mountains beyond. Situated in Piazza del Popolo, the apartment is a stone’s throw away from wonderful bistros, bars and restaurants and you can enjoy culinary influences from France, Switzerland, and Italy of course, suited to all budgets.

A hillside path leads from Piazza del Popolo to the home of the towering statue that stands overlooking Arona. Nestled amongst gardens and chapels this was the Sacro Monte di San Carlo was once the tallest in the world. Take the ferry and visit the small islands of Isola Bella and the Palazzo Borromeo, the imposing 17th Century palace, and its famous gardens. Milan’s Malpensa is the closest airport to the Apartment, with connections to all major European cities. The airport is about 30km away and is a comfortable 40-minute drive.
