'The Manor is well kept. The breakfast was nice, there was cereal, bread, bagels, croissants, jam, peanut butter, cream cheese, fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese, coffee, tea, juices. Served in a cozy kitchen that sat 13 people..a great opportunity to meet people and chat. There was always someone there on staff to ensure the breakfast was was stocked and answer questions. We met Brenda (owner) and had a great chat. (Fellow hockey parents😊) Our room was the Twillingate on the 3rd floor (lots of steps)...

'Large room, very helpful staff, clean, $10 uber ride to downtown, safe and great breakfast. Extra care on French toast for my daughter with celiac (very sensitive) was very appreciated.'

'The room was very clean other than they have carpet and I never feel like carpet is really clean. The lobby and hotel inside were very clean and well kept. However the outside could be made to look abit nicer. The one thing that I felt could have been better is having security near the main front door to try to keep the homeless people from begging to guests at the front door. It made me feel uncomfortable around the hotel grounds. But again I understand there isn’t much that can be done about...

'Great clean rooms. Easy check in and checkout. The onsite restaurant Cannery is good, friendly wait staff. Only concern was the cleanliness of the restaurant area, If staying in St. John’s again, this would be the place.'

'Staff were very helpful and curtious. Food in the restaurant was very uneven with some items good and others very bad while all being overpriced for what you got. Breakfast buffet was generally good. Machines in vending areas were always empty.'

'Perfect cozy stay! The space was large enough for two, private, and the location was perfect! Near enough to be accessible to everything, but far enough away to avoid noise and traffic. Space was perfectly decorated! We loved that there was no TV! Staff was also very helpful!'

'The hotel is 20 minutes away from the downtown core but it was an easy drive to other areas of the Avalon Peninsula. There is a Moxie and Denny’s in the hotel and Tim Horton’s a few minutes walk away. On entering, the lobby is clean and modern. Staff were friendly and engaging. In the room, it was clean and spacious. Only problem we had was in the washroom where the shower stall was dirty along the base and the dirt was coming off. It was the seal that was rubbing off.
