'The property was clean, quiet and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised to find complimentary milk, bread, jam and tea at the property as well as a welcome note and small reference manual for our stay. Of particular note were the sunrise and sunset ocean views both from the property itself and on the half-mile walk from the property to the train station. If you take the train from Edinburgh to Kinghorn in the evening, you might catch the sunset over the bridge- Gorgeous! We had a lovely time...

'Great cottage, all facilities are present and working. You do need to be careful if you're sleeping in the attic. One of the bars from the retractable attic ladder can be an obstacle.'

'We really enjoyed our stay at Thimblewynd from Aug 09 - 24 and would recommend cottage to others. Cottage was ideally suited for two of us. Loved the character of the house combined with the modern amenities i.e. updated upstairs bathroom. We loved the location in Dunning with a short walk to local Nisa store that had a great selection of items, and the lovely Kirkstyle pub just down the road. 'Barn was lovely. Very clean had everything we needed. Beds were super comfy. Hosts were lovely and provided amazing welcome back for us. Location was lovely and peaceful. Lots DVD books games and blankets in the barn. Had lovely fire although weather was mild so we didnt need to use. Would highly recommend'

'After a long drive to get there it was lovely to dump the cases and get into the hot tub. The accommodation was better than expected and we both enjoyed our stay there. We were told that the drive was a wee bit tight but other than that, no issues'

"Very friendly, clean and welcoming hotel. Lots of parking space and a excellent restaurant with a cosy bar.. Although close to the airport a good connection could be made with the Edinburgh city-center via public transport or car. Room was spacious and well kept with a proper bed to sleep. This hotel is well worth the money with a shopping-mall close by, although transport is needed to reach as a main road has to be crossed. The breakfast was not enjoyed as we were on our way early, but as airline crew are also staying here it should have a certain standard."
