'This hotel with a history offers great surroundings near Saranac lake, spacious, modern and clean family rooms, and friendly staff for a reasonable price. During our 3 week trip in July through north east of USA and Canada we planned to stay here for 2 nights but decided to stay an extra night. We were very lucky with the weather ( 75 -82 F) but heard the winter period lasts long and is tough.'

'Visually the resort is stunning, the grounds are beautiful, the attention to detail remarkable and the pool/spa area is amazing. The food in The Lazy Goat was really good especially the Maple Rosemary Chicken Wings. However, the elevator in our building (The Mansion) was broken, we were on the second floor and they did offer to help with our bags. 'We loved our stay and only wish it could have been longer. It's a beautiful space under 15 minutes from the main attractions of Saratoga Springs, but it's like an oasis--beautiful space, very comfortable room with a beautiful bathroom, gorgeous patio to eat customized breakfast, and garden to enjoy. If we had more time we would have enjoyed the trails and more of the outdoor space. We were without a car but had no problems getting Lyfts or taxis to the space, and Alison was a wonderful host.
