Amazing spot. The only slight disappointment was the sauna wasn’t working to its full capacity (one heating element failed) so it wasn’t that hot. Everything else was perfect.

Everything here is extremely well built, beautiful, unique and just plain cool. There was a welcome package provided, the property is huge and well maintained. The only thing that “could have been improved” was the barrel sauna didn’t seem to be working properly…it wasn’t very warm and later on it wasn’t working at all. For future travellers, just show up and enjoy, bring some good walking shoes to enjoy the full 90 acres, and some warm clothing if you’re going to enjoy the barn. Just an excellent property.

Unbelievable. We’re a group that’s been getting together for the last 20 years. We all agreed…This was the best place we’ve ever stayed at. Location, amenities, etc etc were absolutely top notch. Kitchen was the best stocked we’ve ever experienced. We are hoping to be back.

We had 10 guys for a fly fishing trip. Everything went very smoothly. Enjoyed all the amenities. Also really enjoyed the views! Was a very relaxing time for all.

Family holiday

We had a fabulous time at the ranch. It was my parents 50th wedding anniversary and the place was perfect. Something for everyone to do and space for all of us. We loved the hot tub, sauna and the the barn for movies. Jason was a great host and the caretakers on the property really took care of any needs we had. The only thing I would’ve done different is stayed longer!

It was everything we expected and more! Kitchen was fully stocked with everything a group would need. Beds were very comfortable. Linens and towels first class. View was awesome! So peaceful! Generous host, beautiful destination

Jason and Lena know how to make guests feel welcomed. They are generous hosts, and want to do everything they can to ensure their guests have their dream vacation. They did this and more for us. We couldn’t have been happier with their hospitality and home.

Fabulous spot for a family vacation

We had a great time at Elk Valley Ranch. The house has more than enough room for all of us - comfortable beds, big living spaces and all the amenities you could think of. The real magic is in the location - horses to feed and get to know, creek and pond to play in, hot tub and sauna, river a short walk away - and movie night in the theatre in the barn. Nestled in the mountains - it was a wonderful get away. Thank you to Justin, Scruffy, Dixie and Roxy!

Elk River Lodge

Elk River Lodge did not disappoint! One of the nicest properties we have ever experienced. Jason was amazing throughout the whole process. The Lodge has every amenity you can think of. From the hot tub and sauna to the magnificent loft for movie viewing. Our family had a wonderful 3 night stay and would recommend this vacation property to anyone. Thank you Jason!

Best Vacation Rental EVER!!

We love to travel and have stayed in hundreds of vacation rentals. Hands down the best rental we have ever stayed in. Everything was perfect. Super comfy beds, very well equipped kitchen, movie night every night in the barn, fishing on the river and our favorite watching elk from the hot tube. Seriously, this is the place you want to stay. We are a family of 10 ages 9-45. Kids loved it. Thank you cant wait to return.

Week of peace and solitude

Our family came up to reconnect with the surrounding beauty and solitude of what we thought this setting could offer us. We were not disappointed in the least amount and wish our stay could have lasted much much longer. It was more peaceful and beautiful than what we could have imagined. What a unique and stunning spot

My family of 10 came to stay at this beautiful property, we were ages 6 to 78 and for that reason in particular it was a great place to be. Everyone could find things to do on the property, from going down to the river to fish to riding bikes, visiting with the horses, watching for elk, sitting in the hot tub, watching movies in the barn, cooking big meals. The house was super comfortable for the group of us. We did a lot of day adventures from there and enjoyed the proximity to beautiful mountains all around. We mostly cooked at the house as it’s a bit of a drive to get to any restaurants. Jason was extremely great. Communication was super easy, he and his wife are very kind and helpful. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Perfect location for a retreat

We hosted a digital detox yoga retreat and couldn’t have chosen a better location! This place has everything and more to feel connected to nature and company and to feel indulged. The views from every window is like a painting. The craftsmanship throughout the home is breathtaking. The barn was perfect to practice yoga and visit. All of the details were considered. Wood chopped, kindling, matches so we could enjoy the cracking fire on cool days. Luxurious towels for bath and hot tub. The sauna was loved by all. Fantastic, refreshing and revitalizing.

An amazing ranch perfectly placed in the meadows along the Elk River , 360 mountain views and trickling creeks outside your bedroom windows…..perfect! We were fortunate to see an abundance of wildlife on our daily fishing and hiking adventures. This was a perfect location for our family get together. An excellent very well stocked kitchen for cooking family dinners, and morning coffee while you watch the elk graze in the meadow out front! A large enough dining room and table to accommodate all. A fantastic bar, games room and lounge for the evenings. Very cozy bedrooms, honestly the best sleeps I have had in years! The barn theatre is pretty awesome, the kids absolutely loved this, especially if there was a little rain. (So did the adults, lol) If you are a fly fisherman, the location couldn’t be better. Some very nice pools and runs right on the property, and you can basically drift to Fernie and beyond! We will definitely be returning, and staying longer!

Canadian Rockies Getaway

This is a little slice of heaven situated along the Elk River with with 360 degree views of the majestic Canadian Rockies. House is perfect for families and the barn has a movie theater. The hot tub and sauna are added bonuses with amazing views. Little creek near the house was fun for the kids to float around in and everyone enjoyed fishing for trout in the Elk River. The horses on property were sweet and friendly. You can spend days exploring the massive property. Herds of elk came through in the morning and evening. You can spend hours just admiring the nature, wildlife and relaxing to the sounds of the babbling brook. Our family loved it here and plan to make this a regular visit. The lovely town of Fernie is only 30 min away where there are restaurants, shops and all outdoor guided activities. We went white water rafting and horseback riding. Sparwood is only 10 min away where there is a grocery store for any needs. Great for Relaxing and family bonding!
