'Very friendly helpful hosts who even garaged our ebikes. The bed was too firm for us & alot of light leaked in around the door and window blinds, but everything was very clean and in good condition. The location was perfect, about 2 minutes walk to shops & restaurants yet was also quiet.'

'I didn’t realise that they did your beds and cleaned. The coolest thing I found was they set the fire place up again to be used. It’s the little things that count. Highly recommend and we will be back again. '

'Interesting historic place. Pleasant place to relax and a great base for exploring the Hawke's Bay. Spent 3 nights there, service is good and the staff very helpful. Stayed in the "William Nelson Suite" and we could relax on the verandah or in the grounds with its historic trees.'
