'The building is beautiful, but the old building does come with some outdated rooms. Room wasn’t entirely clean either. Some staff were really nice (some of the waiters), but some others not so much. Dinner they serve is really inexpensive for what you get, so that’s a plus. Even though some shortcomings, I would stay again (and maybe pay for sea view).'

'I am so glad we found this place. It was exactly as portrayed: an historic (and idiosyncratic) small inn/hotel; not fancy, very straightforward; on the water in a wonderful location; a great kitchen punching way above its weight. But the best part was its staff. Warm, genuine. I felt cared about by every staff member I interacted with. Kudos.'

'Beautiful location (waterfront), extremely friendly and helpful staff, close to lots of walkable dining options,…. Only con was that there were very few close parking spaces. One night we ended up parking in a pay to park lot about 5-10 minutes walk away. Not ideal, but not a deal breaker. Still would recommend this hotel if staying in Portree.'
