'Checkin very friendly, the park is super clean, parking easy. Apartment good with lot of extra's like dishwasher, washing machine, coffee etc. Close to the black beach. Although there is not much around the location (20-30min drive for a supermarket), thats not the worst. On the big island everything takes time to drive, so for a relaxing place, this hotel is recommended.'

'This entire experience was nothing short of amazing. At first I was apprehensive to live completely off the grid but after staying here I would definitely do it again. When we first arrived the host met us, gave us an entire tour of his property, including his beautiful animals as well as explaining what it’s like to live off grid. Made us feel right at home as if we had been friends a long time. The home was cozy, it does get a little cold so be prepared. The grill and fire pit was a nice touch...

'The resort community was great. It is sad to see abandoned golf resort buildings around the area. But the resort itself felt very safe. Despite no air conditioning, the combination of ocean breeze and ceiling fans were still great.'

'We had a lovely stay. The property was gorgeous. Lovely gardens and outdoor spaces. Inside had everything we needed and was so beautifully put together. Made us feel at home, away from home. There was even fruit and eggs for sale at the fruit stand. The host was super easy to communicate with. '

'This was a great location near Volcano National Park! It was tucked away and very quiet. The hosts were so kind to leave fresh fruit and flowers for our arrival. The house is set up well and has everything you need. Thanks for a great stay!'

'Great location. We got there at dusk - tropical pathway lights didn't work - most were smashed. Hot tub was not "locked up" as supposed to be - and cloudy. Did not want to chance a UTI so - no tubbing which was the whole reason we picked this little gem. Sink clogged up, wallpaper paper falling off, possible black mold on skylight above bed. No batteries in remote. We left a day early. I hope they fix it up.'

'What a lovely and cozy home away from home. So much time was spent on the lanai because being surrounded by all the lush vegetation felt like you were in a secluded forest, complete with all the sights and sounds. This place was the highlight of our time in Volcano. All the decorations were tasteful and I appreciated all the books on Hawaii. Such a lovely place. I hope to come back soon!'

'Having never stayed in a Yurt of grid i was Amazed at how nice it was. I followed the rule of laundry during the day and had no issues. I titled this country because of the chickens and dogs, if you want a quite nights rest this isn't for you. If you are used to dogs barking and roasters crowingfrom 3am on then you'll be fine. I actually Loved it there!!PS, pool had funky ladder to get in and didn't seem worth the risk But that's what the beach is for.!!Again i Loved it and would Highly...
