'Prima hotel, vriendelijk vrolijk personeel. Goede keuken. Winkels en restaurants op loopafstand. Dichtbij vliegveld, maar vanwege het drukke verkeer toch minimaal 1 uur rijden. Heerlijk zwembad met ligbedden en handdoeken service. In weekenden erg druk bij ontbijt vanwege dagjes mensen. Roken alleen bij de buitenbar , bij voordeur en op eigen terras. Prima ligging om dag trips te maken, als je de stad eenmaal uit bent, is het verkeer normaal.'

'I have been in this hotel now two times, and I was surprised to see the staff remember me on my second visit, since it was nearly a year before that, when I made my first visit. I absolutely love the hotel, the staff and the surrounding area. You ask and they try to make it happen, everybody is friendly and greets you with a smile. If I go back to Cebu for the third time, I don't even have to look for a hotel, since I know where to stay.'

It is a ways from major shopping areas, but that can either be a positive or negative depending on whether you want quiet and peace or you want the loud city commotion. "I had a lovely stay in The Reef - what a beautiful place! Very nice rooms, fine breakfast, very warm and friendly staff, and very easy access to great snorkeling. One point of attention - when the staff orders a taxi, they automatically order a luxury taxi which is double as expensive as a white taxi. As you need to pay taxis with cash, this can lead to a negative surprise when you are low on cash (for me, on my trip to the airport going back)"
