Yorkshire : Vacances de luxe

Friendly staff, clean hotel, excellent location (walking distance from the train station as well as from the Shambles and the Minster). Our only downfall was the construction work that was a but noisy in the morning, and the fact that the fan in the bathroom was not efficient (it would ger humid after a shower). Would recommend this hotel !

Nice charming hotel close to York city centre. Standard Rooms are small but clean and confortable. Staff is nice and helpful.

bad experience. does not answer to email. won't go there again

Very nice room in the new wing. Everything was modern and spacious but I felt that given it is the only 5 star hotel in the city, customer service could be improved immensely. The service was a bit forced and pretentious. I felt the girl who was checking me in was a bit a cold and tried to be service-oriented but it looked like she was not interested and did it out of need not want. Hotel also refused to microwave sealed microwave meals for me which I find bizarre as every other hotel I stayed at in the UK obliged. I felt the staff behaved like they were above others but really, the service left much to be desired. It was not warm.
