Tavira Island: Golfvakanties

Close to alvor, nice pool , large grounds.

The staff was very good, particularly Sebastian at reception. He was very kind and helpful. The property was…weird. The hotel and property was run-down, though relatively clean, minus the ants in our room. The hotel decor was bizarre, leaning toward very tacky. The breakfast buffet was always ridiculously busy and the food quality was poor. After the first day, we opted not to bother going. The one adult swimming pool served hundreds of guests so was always overcrowded with all of the loungers taken by early morning. It felt like we were at a bargain basement all-inclusive resort (that wasn’t all inclusive) and was not cheap. That said, the beach was nice and easily accessible. I get the appeal for some but this is not the hotel or city to visit in the Algarve if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation. We’ll know better for next time.

Ons appartement lag heel goed. Op 5 min wandelen van de uitgangsbuurt de strip en 5 min van het strand. Op resort zelf ook mooi zwembad. Goed personeel , vriendelijk en hulpvaardig.

Hotel was okay for a short trip. The hotel was dated and was definitely not a 5 star. Personally think 3 star at max. Food was okay but would definitely advise booking the specialty restaurants over the buffet if all inclusive.

De kamer was schoon, we hadden een apart zitgedeelte wat erg fijn was. Het ontbijt is fantastisch, veel keus, gezond en elke dag een special. Personeel was beleeft en heel voorkomend. Van de spa hebben we geen gebruik gemaakt, de prijzen waren erg duur en vaak stonden er medische controles bij waarbij je naar het naastgelegen hospitaal moest. De toegang tot het binnenzwembad moest via de receptie van de spa en het was voor 1 uur en moest geboekt worden. Dit vinden wij niet toegankelijk voor als je zo maar even wil zwemmen of relaxen. Dit stond ook nergens vermeld. We hebben dit wellness/spa gedeelte niet bezocht en dat was een teleurstelling.

Wij hadden een suite geboekt. Heerlijk comfortabel. Airco's in de kamer werken goed. Dagelijkse schoonmaak van de kamer door net personeel. Ontbijtbuffet is prima. Wel erg druk en sma
