Maldives: Goedkope Vakanties

Best reef we saw from 6 visits we had to maldives. Service unbelievable good. Food fantastic. Best resort we ever visited

As we would probably visit the Maldives once in our lifetimes, we decided to make it a unique experience by booking a hotel located at an atol which could only be reached by waterplane. We selected the Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa and were very happy with our choice. The atol is about a one hour flight from the waterplane airport and the views from the sky when flying there are breathtaking. The waterplane transfer costs you a significant amount of money and reservations are to be made through the hotel. The hotel is notified by the airline about your arrival and staff will be awaiting you at the pier. Usually you're the only ones in the plane going there, so check-in goes fast and smooth. Apart from the Cinnamon there are no other buildings at the atol. Water and land bungalows are fantastic, but the 'floor window' and 'pool/sea exit' at the water bungalow are added bonuses. Rooms are well maintained and spotless. Dinner, lunch as well as breakfast are in buffet style. You will be allocated a table during your stay. Food is of good quality and there's sufficient choice. The Cinnamon decided on an all-inclusive formula. However, f.i. a cappucino is not included nor an iced coffee. We do understand that there are exceptions for alcoholic beverages, but for such common ones?!

Je boekt op basis van prijs per nacht/kamer, die redelijk is... Maar dan begint het : verplicht hun transport te gebruiken aan 277,-$ pp extra, en indien je enkel ontbijt hebt, lunch en dinner menu aan minstens 65$ plus tax plus service charge, per persoon. Seafood platter : 165$pp,... De excursies en activiteiten zijn in dezelfde prijsklasse. Kwaliteit is okee, maar veel te duur voor wat het is.

Friendly staff, beautiful location, spacious rooms and family friendly. Had a good break, and felt safe.

Echt een bounty-eiland!! Wij hadden ongeveer de meest eenvoudige accomodatie en die was al flink decadent. Alles is uitstekend onderhouden, zeer vriendelijk personeel, parelwit strand, er wordt niet bezuinigd op handdoeken of een flesje douchegel, de mooiste vissen al heel dicht bij het eiland te zien, geweldig goed eten: op Kurumba krijg je waar voor je geld. Allerlei watersporten en excursies worden aangeboden, maar dan moet je wel aardig in je buidel tasten. Zelfde geldt voor de spa. Okee, het ligt dicht bij het vliegveld, dus er vliegt nog wel eens wat over. Daar kan je je aan storen. Voordeel: zeer snelle transfer van vliegveld naar het resort: dat is allemaal prima verzorgd. De ontvangst is uiterst vriendelijk en bij vertrek word je uitgezwaaid door een aantal personeelsleden: de betrokkenheid is groot!

ruim opgezette en comfortabel ingerichte kamer, met buitendouche en bad in aparte aangrenzende badkamer. Prima airco en voldoende voorzieningen op achterterras en bij het strand. Schitterend zwembad ek ook de overige faciliteiten zijn uitstekend. Personeel is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

The resort is beautiful but most of all the service is excellent. For a resort on the more affordable end it actually exceeded our expectations on the service level. The all-inclusive package features a good cocktail list, the buffet is “average” at best. It is nice to have a minibar partially included as well, although, I would suggest to be a bit more flexible with the “two soft drinks a day” policy, which I find a bit ridiculous to be honest. Also with the quality of the wines, it might be better to not serve wine at all as part of the all-inclusive package. I think the disappointment of that would be less than to be served this kind of horrible wine. One last peace of improvement could be found in the “Expedia VIP acces gold member recognition”, although we did not receive a room upgrade I did strongly got the feeling that we were put in one of the best possible rooms within our booked category. But I had to ask hour host to get confirmed that this indeed was the case. The room was simply amazing and one of the best villa’s on the island. But at checking nobody told us specifically about this. It’s a quick win to tell your guests actively that they can enjoy the benefits of one of the newest and biggest villa’s when you assign them to them. We hade a great stay and the value for money, especially considering you are on the Maldives, is on the right level here. Dit is een waanzinnig resort.er zijn veel restaurants zodat er voor een ieder voldoende keuze is. Het eiland is maar 3 km in omtrek maar soms denk je dat je alleen op het eiland bent, heerlijk!
