Maldives: Goedkope Vakanties

Tapijt versleten. Deur naar badkamer ontzet. Prima naar het zin gehad maar heb geen hoge verwachtingen. Wel lekker bed met airco en goede douche. Personeel doet goed zn best. De snorkeltour was heerlijk maar wel met veel mensen. We waren met een groep van bijna 30 mensen. Op een gegeven moment lag er beschimmeld brood bij ontbijtbuffet. We waren er eind april. Alle dagen bewolkt en aantal keren veel regen. Toch goed naar het zin gehad.

The resort is beautiful but most of all the service is excellent. For a resort on the more affordable end it actually exceeded our expectations on the service level. The all-inclusive package features a good cocktail list, the buffet is “average” at best. It is nice to have a minibar partially included as well, although, I would suggest to be a bit more flexible with the “two soft drinks a day” policy, which I find a bit ridiculous to be honest. Also with the quality of the wines, it might be better to not serve wine at all as part of the all-inclusive package. I think the disappointment of that would be less than to be served this kind of horrible wine. One last peace of improvement could be found in the “Expedia VIP acces gold member recognition”, although we did not receive a room upgrade I did strongly got the feeling that we were put in one of the best possible rooms within our booked category. But I had to ask hour host to get confirmed that this indeed was the case. The room was simply amazing and one of the best villa’s on the island. But at checking nobody told us specifically about this. It’s a quick win to tell your guests actively that they can enjoy the benefits of one of the newest and biggest villa’s when you assign them to them. We hade a great stay and the value for money, especially considering you are on the Maldives, is on the right level here. Echt een bounty-eiland!! Wij hadden ongeveer de meest eenvoudige accomodatie en die was al flink decadent. Alles is uitstekend onderhouden, zeer vriendelijk personeel, parelwit strand, er wordt niet bezuinigd op handdoeken of een flesje douchegel, de mooiste vissen al heel dicht bij het eiland te zien, geweldig goed eten: op Kurumba krijg je waar voor je geld. Allerlei watersporten en excursies worden aangeboden, maar dan moet je wel aardig in je buidel tasten. Zelfde geldt voor de spa. Okee, het ligt dicht bij het vliegveld, dus er vliegt nog wel eens wat over. Daar kan je je aan storen. Voordeel: zeer snelle transfer van vliegveld naar het resort: dat is allemaal prima verzorgd. De ontvangst is uiterst vriendelijk en bij vertrek word je uitgezwaaid door een aantal personeelsleden: de betrokkenheid is groot!
