Maldives: Goedkope Vakanties

The resort is beautiful but most of all the service is excellent. For a resort on the more affordable end it actually exceeded our expectations on the service level. The all-inclusive package features a good cocktail list, the buffet is “average” at best. It is nice to have a minibar partially included as well, although, I would suggest to be a bit more flexible with the “two soft drinks a day” policy, which I find a bit ridiculous to be honest. Also with the quality of the wines, it might be better to not serve wine at all as part of the all-inclusive package. I think the disappointment of that would be less than to be served this kind of horrible wine. One last peace of improvement could be found in the “Expedia VIP acces gold member recognition”, although we did not receive a room upgrade I did strongly got the feeling that we were put in one of the best possible rooms within our booked category. But I had to ask hour host to get confirmed that this indeed was the case. The room was simply amazing and one of the best villa’s on the island. But at checking nobody told us specifically about this. It’s a quick win to tell your guests actively that they can enjoy the benefits of one of the newest and biggest villa’s when you assign them to them. We hade a great stay and the value for money, especially considering you are on the Maldives, is on the right level here. All inclusive was voor wat ik gewend ben geen all in. Buiten de restaurant tijden om hebben ze snack tijden. Enorm beperkt en summier. Activiteiten in de avond waren beperkt. Voornamelijk live muziek en voor de rest niks. Ik heb het zelf leuk gemaakt met spelletjes die ik had meegenomen. Eten was ook écht niet te doen. Elke dag aardappels, salade en fruit gegeten. Het eten bestond voornamelijk uit curry’s en rijst. De pasta en pizza waren oke! Het strand is prachtig en de kamers ruim en heel schoon. Daar heb ik niks op aan te merken.

Je boekt op basis van prijs per nacht/kamer, die redelijk is... Maar dan begint het : verplicht hun transport te gebruiken aan 277,-$ pp extra, en indien je enkel ontbijt hebt, lunch en dinner menu aan minstens 65$ plus tax plus service charge, per persoon. Seafood platter : 165$pp,... De excursies en activiteiten zijn in dezelfde prijsklasse. Kwaliteit is okee, maar veel te duur voor wat het is.
