Not worth what they charge We arrived and there wasn’t even a sign for reception; we called and the phone didn’t work, so it was hard to find where to check in. At the pool there weren’t enough loungers for the eight cabins. When we finally found some, they were in the sun and we were told maintenance would move them — nobody ever came. We ended up moving them ourselves with help from the gardener who was nearby, because it seems there was only one staff member covering the entire hotel. She was doing her best, but obviously couldn’t keep up on her own. Nothing is complimentary — not even water in the room — everything is charged separately. The breakfast was bad. On the second day, someone from reception showed up with terrible customer service, I think part of management, who insisted we move our car all the way to a distant parking lot instead of leaving it near the cabin like we had been. Everything was dirt road/unpaved terrain — she just wanted it farther away for no real reason. The only thing that’s genuinely worth it is Fauna, the restaurant — it never disappoints. The wifi doesn’t work in the rooms. It didn’t bother me, but my partner had to work in the mornings and had to go to reception just to get online. Overall, for what they charge, it’s not worth it. I wouldn’t stay here again. Not to compare, but for the same price, the Banyan is so much better: spacious rooms, a private pool plus the shared one, a gorgeous spa, and you actually feel like you’re get
