Mooi en net hotel

I especially liked that the hotel is located very close to the forbidden city. The staff speaks little English which makes it a bit hard to get everything organized. For the rest a very nice and fine hotel.

타이한 일정에 이틀 숙박했는데, 만족했습니다. 직원도 친절하고 호텔도 청결했어요 즐거운 이틀이었습니다.

Beijing Hotel Review – 4/5 ⭐ Overall, we had a good stay at this hotel in Beijing. The location was good, the hotel was very clean, and our room was cleaned to a high standard every day. The gym was a real positive, with everything you needed for a proper workout. The staff were helpful, but the biggest issue was the language barrier. We didn’t encounter any English-speaking staff, which made communication difficult at times. If a hotel welcomes international guests, I believe staff should have at least a basic understanding of English to help with everyday requests. Another disappointment was the birthday decorations arranged for my partner. We had hoped for something special, but the decorations were very poor and fell short of our expectations. We appreciated the birthday cake that was provided after I complained, but it shouldn’t have taken a complaint to make the occasion feel special. Interestingly, we subsequently stayed at another hotel in Shanghai that wasn’t as nice overall as this one, yet they made a much greater effort for the birthday, providing balloons and a birthday card. It was disappointing that a hotel of this standard couldn’t offer a similar level of thoughtfulness. Despite these issues, the cleanliness, location, gym and helpful attitude of the staff were all positives. Rating: 4/5. A good hotel overall, but better English communication and more attention to special occasions would make the experience much better for international travellers.

When looking up the hotel on didi it shows up as crowne plaza which made us doubt if it was the correct place. Turns out the hotel used to be a crowne plaza untill before covid. The hotel is in an absolutely excellent location, the staff was great we enjoyed our stay. You can definitely see that that the hotel used to be a crowne plaza based on the size of the rooms and the lobby but you can also see why it is no longer a crowne plaza based on how certain things are not quite right anymore. The desk chair in our room was semi-broken so it tilted sideways, there was a crack in the ceiling of the hallway outside our door, the pool had been "under maintenance" since 2019 according to a sign on that floor. One more thing that threw us off was laundry. In every other hotel we've ever stayed in when we had laundry done we got it back very fast and the cost got charged to the room which then got paid upon check-out. Here however after 2 days we had not yet received our laundry yet so we called and they said we first had to go down to the lobby to pay and only then we would get the laundry. I don't know if not charging to the room is a china thing or a this hotel thing, but it threw us off and was a bit weird. The same thing happened with room service where we had to pay on delivery of the food aswell. All in all it's a good, but slightly outdated hotel with excellent staff.

Kamer was heel schoon. Het personeel was super aardig vooral de mensen die in het restaurant werken. Eten was ook lekker. Alleen wifi verbinding viel steeds uit en soms deed ie het lange tijd niet.
