What an experience. The moment you step over the treshold you are in another world. Such a beautiful serene place on a great spot. Although the hotel is modern, it breaths the past, the history goes back to 1728. You feel straigjt at home. The room and bathroom were in great style. I loved the eye for detail in for instant the coathangers or the watertab. I have seen hundred of hotels but this one was very special to me. I want to thank the staff for their good care. Pavel, Mike, Marius and all the others thank you for letting me feel at home.

De kamer was oud en versleten,scheuren in het behang,vreselijke geur van het vast tapijt, zeer kleine versleten badkamer, geen vier sterren waard! Ontbijt was wel erg goed, zeer vriendelijke receptue.

We (my wife and I) are very disappointed in Hotel Haffner. I've stayed there several time when I was visiting Gdynia for work and was always satisfied about the rooms and service. This time it was completely different. We had booked and paid for a double persons room with a double king-size bed for three days. We got for the first 2 nights a single personsroom room with a single persons king-size bed. When we wanted a other too the told us it wasn't possible because the hotel was full. We had to wait for 2 nights before we could change to a bigger room. Also the reception was surprised why we were complaining. The said the room was a little bit smaller but still it was a double room the tried to convince us. But the too was so small that a double king-size bed would fill the hall room and there wouldn't be any place left to stand, sit or put your luggage's!! The last night we got a normal double room that we ordered. But we had to insist to have that. Probably otherwise we had to stay in the small single the whole period. We didn't get any deduction or excuses from the staff about the whole situation so we are very disappointed. Luckily the weather and the nice beach and Sopot gave us a good feeling. I'll be back for my work in Gdynia/Sopot bud will change from hotel for sure. No Haffner for me anymore!

Wij verbleven op kamer 402, bovenste verdieping aan de voorzijde. Rustig gelegen kamer met goede bedden. Koffie- en theefaciliteiten op de kamer, evenals gratis flesjes mineraalwater. Ontbijt was redelijk goed. Bij aankomst een voucher gekregen voor een welkomstdrankje in de bar beneden in het hotel. Slechts weinig gasten namen de moeite om hier iets te drinken, zodat bar meestal uitgestorven was. Hotel ligt op slechts enkele honderden meters lopen van de meeste bezienswaardigheden in het oude centrum van de stad. Reizen met de trein is spotgoedkoop en vanaf hotel naar station lopen duurt iets meer dan 10 minuten. Prima verblijf voor enkele dagen.
