The breakfast is not tasty

We have travelled the world (including most of Italia) and we had great expectations for the Bristol Buja on our first trip to Abano Terme. However, the problems started early when we arrived after a long drive by car from the Rome airport. Where I literally watched the Porter run and hide when he saw that we had heavy luggage to unload. Which my wife and I then had to manage alone upon arrival, and then again on check-out! And it continued from there all downhill. Including the very un-friendly attitudes at reception. Acting as if our business was a distraction from their more important personal lives. Never once did we receive a pleasant hello or even buongiorno as we came and went. Not to mention that they claim to be Pet Friendly, totally false. Only if our 5kg well-behaved dog stayed isolated in the room with us! Finishing up this disaster, was our last morning. First, the breakfast ended 45 minutes early and the selection & service was limited. Then at a surprise required early check-out, it was shocking to see that the lobby had already been closed and the furniture all covered in sheets! Sadly, the only things positive about this aging "fake" 5 Star hotel were the women at the pool bar and lobby bar. Plus the Manager's very professional efforts to try and remedy the many problems we had at the hotel and in particular at the Spa. We sincerely appreciated his efforts. While Abano Terme was a great and elegant city, the Bristol Buja was a gigantic disappointment.

The hotel is outdadted. Airco didn't work well. The room had a smell coming out of the bathroom.

Abano Therme is a posh place full of luxurious hotels, top brand fashion shops in elegant streets. It is the contrast to the busy and noisy touristic beaches. Together with hot water pools and Spa and some extra treatments a very relaxed holidays. Nearby historical towns like Venice, Padua and Verona for the short excursions. The hotel is not the newest but is well maintained, the staff friendly. Good pool and garden area. The breakfast buffet not very good, maybe OK for the groups in the hotels with discount prices, but not when you pay the normal price as a private tourist

Een hotel voor rustzoekers. Ligt wel vlakbij het centrum maar daar is weinig te beleven. Voor 70+. Badkamer was verouderd mede als het balkon. Koelkast alleen te gebruiken met de voorraad die erin staat. Je kunt niet je eigen spullen erin kwijt.
