Verouderde accomodatie, eenvoudig ontbijtje

The location of the hotel is perfect. In a couple of minutes you are at Plaça de ajuntment. In the hotel you dont hear the citynoices, but you hear the other hotel guests alot. The room is very small 3x2 meters and only 1 light that has no atmosphere. They did have a very good airco through! The elevator can only hold 3 people and than you are standing against each other. With a suitcase only 1 person fits. Because of the flood they had no water for 3 days but the hotel didnt provide bottels so you could flush the toilet. They said there was something wrong with the water pressure in the whole area. It looked a lie to me when other establisments 300 m further still had water! So dont really know what to think of that. Personel had a good memory, they always had my key ready. Unfortunately they didnt smile much, but they werent unfriendly either. Breakfast was terrible, packed croissants and no egg, cheese of meat. It was served on a metal tray, so it looked like you would have a prison meal. The eating area was also not very tastefull equipped. So all and all you pay to much for the service you get.

The first room we were assigned had a very bad sewersmell to it, luckily for us there was another room available and we could move there. However, there are renovations going on which resulted in loud renovationnoises every morning from 8am to 4pm in the afternoon. The hotel was very noisy anyway, could hear neighbours walk and talk and had to sleep with airbuds every night. The breakfast was good, but not great. No variety during the week, coffee and tea not hot enough and little choice of bread. Sweet breads where supertiny, so where most of the dishes like soups, omelettes and pastry's, Cleanliness was absolutely perfect in our second room! Clean-up everyday including mopping the floors, compliments to the cleaningcrew. The new bathrooms are very pretty, but I would advise a manual for the three showerknobs, after 5 days I still didn't figure out how they worked. The location of the hotel is great, close too public transport and for us walking distance from all important places to be and visit. Lots of restaurants in the vicinity. We did have an enjoyable stay. We would have a appreciated a heads-up first about the constructionworks or at least a discount for the room. Sleeping-in or just relaxing in the afternoon was not an option, the works were só loud.
