« Modern renovation, while retaining some original features (e.g. flagstone floor in cafe area). Clean and comfortable. Everything was self service so no staff on site (a bit impersonal but not really an issue). Definitely a good option for fellow solo visitors to the area. »

« We ate outside (at the back of the property near the parking area) as we had a dog with us. . Just a suggestion …It was a very hot and sunny day, so a table umbrella would have given us some shade. We enjoyed a lovely hot Breakfast which was brought out to us. Only problem … there was too much!! 😄 The Staff were amazing - really friendly and obliging. »

« Lovely hotel, situated in a lovely village with views of Whitby abbey from our window, recently renovated. Bedroom was nice and clean as was bathroom, 2 pillows were provided one hardish the other soft but flatter, could have done with something in between. Evening meal and breakfast were good, well cooked and hot. Was in a lovely quiet area so very quiet on a night. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Could do with a shower holder in the shower so not bobbing up and down to get things...
